According to the political report at the Congress, the Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association currently has 195 members, all journalists working at the province's press and propaganda agencies, and participating in activities at 8 affiliated branches and journalist clubs.

The branches have closely followed the directives of the Vietnam Journalists Association , the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee. The Provincial Journalists Association has coordinated with press agencies to encourage journalist members to promote emulation movements within the branches and journalist clubs. They have promptly rewarded and encouraged members with outstanding journalistic works and significant contributions to the movement and association work. Throughout the term, the Association has focused on building a cleaner and stronger organization, serving as a common home to unite journalists in fulfilling their political tasks.
Journalists' Associations and Clubs cooperate with the government and propaganda organizations to mobilize the people to carry out political tasks and socio-economic development of the locality, actively respond to emulation movements and campaigns, and participate in Party building and government building work.
In October 2022, the Provincial Journalists Association organized the signing of a competition agreement on "Building a cultural environment in press agencies," striving to achieve 12 specific criteria. 100% of press agencies in the province signed the competition agreement, setting the goal that by 2025, 100% of agencies would achieve the status of a cultural agency; and 100% of staff, reporters, and journalist members would not violate the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, or the internal regulations and rules of their respective agencies.

The Provincial Journalists Association organizes annual professional training courses on specific topics. The training content is tailored to the needs of media organizations and target groups, including: journalistic practices, journalistic genres for new reporters, enhancing leadership in editorial work, national and global journalistic development orientation, managing fanpages within media organizations, and organizing thematic talks for all members…
During the past term, the Association organized 5 thematic talks and professional training sessions for hundreds of members, with presentations from reputable and experienced journalists who have conducted in-depth research in the field of journalism. The Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association successfully hosted the regional workshop of 8 provinces in the Northern Coastal Delta with the theme "Journalism and the work of protecting the ideological foundation of the Party," successfully organized the 5th Nguyen Luong Bang Journalism Award, and held the commemoration ceremony for Vietnam Revolutionary Journalism Day and awarded the annual Journalists Association Journalism Prize.
The Journalists Association has organized numerous field trips and study tours for its members to other provinces for its members, journalists, and office staff. At the congress, the Executive Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association, 9th term (2023-2028), consisting of 9 members, was introduced. The congress adopted a Resolution outlining 10 key tasks for the 2023-2028 term.

Speaking at the congress, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi acknowledged, praised, and expressed his joy at the continuous growth and development in all aspects of the Journalists Association and media agencies of Hai Duong province during the past term.
Comrade Nguyen Duc Loi emphasized that the press agencies of Hai Duong province have continuously innovated and updated with technological changes to create new journalistic products, keeping pace with the development trends of modern journalism. Many new sections and information are also widely shared on social media platforms.
It can be affirmed that the "common home" of journalists in Hai Duong is growing stronger, serving as a place for unity, gathering, and training in political acumen, professional skills, and professional ethics. The team is becoming increasingly large, and its quality is constantly improving. The Hai Duong Journalists Association has done a good job of leadership and guidance, proactively coordinating and managing the press, creating conditions for members to practice their profession, and protecting members in their professional activities, continuously enhancing the prestige and influence of the organization.

Building on the achievements already made, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Nguyen Duc Loi, suggested that the Provincial Journalists Association should continue to thoroughly understand, implement, and effectively carry out the directives and resolutions of the Party and the Vietnam Journalists Association on journalistic work in the new situation; continue to promote the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, especially his journalistic style, in conjunction with the implementation of the Press Law, the 10 regulations on professional ethics, and the rules for using social media by Vietnamese journalists…
Comrade Nguyen Duc Loi emphasized that, given the inevitable trend of digital transformation in journalism, building converged newsrooms, multimedia news agencies, and developing a team of versatile journalists with high professional qualifications, expertise, culture, and ethics suitable for working in the digital environment requires leadership, guidance, attention, and support from the province, governing bodies, and news agencies.

Speaking at the congress, Comrade Tran Duc Thang, Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, urged the Provincial Journalists Association and media agencies to actively innovate methods and improve the quality of their work. He emphasized the importance of continuing to uphold President Ho Chi Minh's teachings: "Journalists are also revolutionary soldiers." He stressed that the press must truly become a sharp weapon on the ideological front, continuing to play a pioneering role in firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation and consolidating the people's trust and affection. This is the top priority and task for the association and journalists in Hai Duong province.
The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that every journalist must truly be a revolutionary fighter. Every genuine, revolutionary journalist must cultivate a revolutionary spirit of offensive action, a spirit of daring to fight against what is wrong, bad, conservative, backward, and stagnant, protecting what is right and good, contributing to "using beauty to overcome ugliness" for the common good of the Party, the country, and the people.
Information in the press must be accurate, highly timely, wholesome, practical, combative, and capable of guiding public opinion; it must frankly combat and refute false narratives, especially in cyberspace; and it must make a positive contribution to the fight against corruption, waste, bureaucracy, and other negative manifestations.
Comrade Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, presented a certificate of commendation from the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province to the Provincial Journalists Association.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to the Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association and two individuals for their outstanding achievements in carrying out association work during the 2018-2023 term.
