Providing comprehensive care and improving the lives of wounded and sick soldiers.

On April 28th, a delegation from Bac Ninh province, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, visited and presented gifts from General Secretary and President To Lam and Bac Ninh province to wounded and sick soldiers being cared for at the Bac Ninh Center for the Care of Meritorious People.
Currently, the Bac Ninh Center for the Care of War Veterans is directly caring for and nurturing 12 severely wounded and disabled veterans with a disability rate ranging from 81% to 95%. These are special cases requiring comprehensive care for both physical and mental well-being. To meet the increasingly demanding requirements, the Center continuously invests in upgrading facilities and medical equipment, improving living conditions; and at the same time, focuses on training and developing its staff to enhance the quality of service.
In a solemn and warm atmosphere, the Bac Ninh Provincial Delegation cordially inquired about the health and well-being of the wounded and sick soldiers being cared for at the Center; and presented meaningful gifts from the General Secretary, the President, and the province to the unit and the beneficiaries of social policies. The total value of the gifts was 77 million VND.
Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong expressed her emotion at being able to visit and personally present meaningful gifts to wounded and sick soldiers; she also emphasized: This is a profound expression of affection and special concern from the Party and State leaders for wounded and sick soldiers and those who have contributed to the revolution nationwide; and it reflects the beautiful moral principles of "Remembering the source when drinking water" and "Showing gratitude" of the Vietnamese people.

Recalling the historical significance of the Great Victory of Spring 1975, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong affirmed that this was a glorious milestone in the nation's history, successfully concluding the protracted resistance war against the American imperialists and ushering the country into an era of independence and unity. This victory was made possible by the immense contributions of millions of cadres, soldiers, and people nationwide, including the wounded and sick soldiers being cared for at the Center. The Party Committee, government, and people of Bac Ninh province always remember and are deeply grateful for these great contributions; at the same time, they affirm that caring for those who have rendered meritorious service is an important, regular, and long-term political task, reflecting the profound humanity of the regime.
Bac Ninh province has always considered the care of those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution as a regular, important, and humane political task. The province has paid attention to fully and promptly implementing preferential regimes and policies; mobilizing many social resources to care for the material and spiritual lives of those who have rendered meritorious services and their relatives. Many specific policies from the provincial budget have been issued to improve the spiritual and material lives of those who have rendered meritorious services.

In particular, in the context of the province's accelerated socio-economic development, aiming to become a centrally-governed city before 2030, the "Gratitude and Repayment" work is increasingly identified as an important task, contributing to consolidating the people's trust and strengthening national unity.
Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Huong acknowledged and praised the achievements of the Bac Ninh Center for the Care of War Veterans in the past period; and at the same time requested the unit to continue to uphold its sense of responsibility, improve the quality of comprehensive care, and better meet the needs of war veterans in the new situation.
