(NTO) After days of rain due to the influence of a tropical depression, people in My Binh ward, Phan Rang - Thap Cham city, are once again bustling with familiar tasks such as weeding, watering flowers, and spraying pesticides on flower fields in preparation for the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) flower market in 2019.

My Binh flower village has long been famous for its flower cultivation. For the locals, flowers are the main source of income, especially chrysanthemums and marigolds. Currently, My Binh flower village has become a very stable supplier of flowers to markets inside and outside the province during Tet (Lunar New Year) for many years. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai, from Ward 6, My Binh commune, shared: "This year's weather has been extremely unfavorable for flower cultivation, but with years of experience, forcing the flowers to bloom at the right time for Tet is not difficult. This year, my family planted nearly 1 sao (approximately 1000 square meters) of flowers, and after the harvest, we had a decent income to buy things for Tet."
