Enhance the visitor experience
With the advantage of a coastline of more than 105 km and abundant seafood resources, Ninh Thuan province has long been famous for its typical products such as traditional anchovy fish sauce, salt, and many types of fresh seafood, processed seafood and dried seafood. These products are gifts imbued with the love of the sea and are loved by many people.
Grasping the trend of experiential tourism , many local establishments and businesses have proactively built attractive tourist attractions. Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong Anh, Deputy Director of JiJi Ninh Thuan Food and Spices Limited Company (Tri Hai Commune, Ninh Hai District) shared that the company invested in building an exhibition space for tourists and students to have the opportunity to visit and learn more about the traditional fish sauce making process. Currently, the unit has 5 product lines, of which 2 anchovy fish sauce products with 30 degrees of nitrogen (premium type) and 50 degrees of nitrogen (super special type) have achieved 4-star OCOP certification at the provincial level. The company's difference is the combination of traditional methods and exclusive technology using fresh pineapple juice to reduce saltiness, soften the taste, and create a characteristic natural aroma that conquers the most discerning diners.
This experience left a deep impression on many people, student Le Thi Xuan Nhi (Biotechnology, Thu Dau Mot University, Binh Duong ) expressed her excitement when witnessing the wooden barrels used to make traditional fish sauce and hearing a detailed introduction to the production process. "When I tasted the fish sauce here, I found it more delicious than the fish sauces I have eaten before. The practical knowledge about fish sauce helps us a lot" - student Le Thi Xuan Nhi said.

Besides the “salty taste of the ocean”, there is also the “sweet taste of the sun” with famous agricultural products such as grapes and apples. From the fruitful vineyards, Ninh Thuan people have processed many diverse OCOP products such as wine, grape syrup, grape jam, dried grapes... Similarly, the sweet and crunchy apples are also processed into jam, dried apples, and refreshing apple syrup, becoming indispensable gifts after every trip.
During the journey to explore Ninh Thuan, visitors also have the opportunity to experience unique handicraft products in Bau Truc pottery village with the pottery art of the Cham people listed by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in need of urgent protection. My Nghiep brocade weaving products are not only souvenirs with unique patterns, but when coming to the craft village, visitors can also listen to artisans tell the story of the lively Cham culture.
Ninh Thuan has advantages in terms of land and hot, dry climate, creating favorable conditions for developing many types of agricultural products and typical OCOP products. To date, the whole province has 270 OCOP products with 3 stars or more; including 228 3-star products, 42 4-star products and 2 potential 5-star products. Developing typical OCOP products associated with tourism not only helps to increase the value of agricultural products but also promotes and increases the attractiveness of local tourism. When coming to Ninh Thuan, visitors not only enjoy unique products but also have the opportunity to learn more about the origin of raw materials, processing and production processes as well as usage and cultural values.

Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, stated that developing a variety of OCOP products associated with tourism activities is a new direction that the province is focusing resources on. This is to create favorable conditions for tourists to access OCOP products and local specialties; contributing to improving economic value, production efficiency and increasing income for people and businesses. Currently, the locality is focusing on developing OCOP products, prioritizing agricultural, non-agricultural, and service products that are unique, traditional and have competitive advantages.
The Provincial People's Committee directed the Departments of Industry and Trade, Agriculture, Tourism and localities to coordinate to promote trade promotion, connect OCOP products with supermarket systems, and participate in e-commerce platforms to develop the market. In addition, the province strengthens trade promotion, connects OCOP products through fairs, exhibitions, events to honor, promote and introduce annual OCOP products associated with cultural and tourism events at provincial, regional, national and international levels, promoting the consumption of OCOP products associated with key tourism markets.
According to the leaders of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, in the coming period, the province will continue to promote the development of OCOP products associated with building strong brands, closely combining with the development of tourism services. To implement, the province focuses on mobilizing resources from programs and projects to support cooperatives, enterprises, and production establishments to invest in applying science and technology, innovating production and processing processes to improve productivity and quality of OCOP products.
At the same time, localities continue to replicate the point of sale model to introduce and sell OCOP products along with gifts, souvenirs, and specialties; build a distribution system to bring OCOP products into modern distribution channels; strengthen intellectual property protection, enhance the image, recognition, and value of OCOP products in the market. Thereby, localities gradually turn OCOP products and specialty products into an indispensable part of the tourism value chain, contributing to promoting economic and tourism development...
