Lang Son has a new Provincial Party Secretary.

Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, has just been elected as the Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee.

This afternoon (December 1st), the Standing Committee of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee convened a special meeting of the Provincial Party Committee to elect the Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee for the 17th term, 2020-2025, and to elect additional members to the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the 17th term, 2020-2025.

After listening to the presentation and carefully studying the structure, standards, and conditions of the nominated personnel, the delegates, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility, proceeded to vote according to regulations.

As a result, with an absolute majority of 100% of the delegates present, Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem was elected by the Provincial Party Committee to the position of Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, 17th term, 2020-2025.

Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem delivered a speech at a conference recently organized by the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee.

Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem was born on September 2, 1968, of the Tay ethnic group; his hometown is Binh La commune, Binh Gia district, Lang Son province. He joined the Party on June 9, 1995; officially on June 9, 1996; his professional qualifications include a Master's degree in Economics; a Bachelor's degree in Commerce; a Bachelor's degree in Political Economy; and Advanced Political Theory.

Previously, in accordance with the Politburo's opinion on personnel matters (in Official Letter No. 12089-CV/VPTW and Official Letter No. 12099-CV/VPTW, dated November 9, 2024, from the Central Party Office), which included the Politburo's agreement that Comrade Nguyen Quoc Doan, Member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, would cease participating in the Provincial Party Committee and its Standing Committee, and would relinquish his position as Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, in order to be approved and appointed to the position of Judge of the Supreme People's Court , Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, and designated to participate in the Party Committee of the Supreme People's Court;

Therefore, Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Lang Son province, has been assigned to manage the work of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee until the position of Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term is filled.
