Lang Son organizes a symposium to introduce Lang Son UNESCO Global Geopark in Ho Chi Minh City

On the afternoon of September 4, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, Lang Son Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center solemnly organized a symposium to introduce Lang Son UNESCO Global Geopark.

Mr. Ha Van Sieu - Deputy Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism spoke at the Conference.

Attending the Conference were Mr. Ha Van Sieu - Deputy Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism; Leaders of Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Tourism; Tourism Promotion Information Center; Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of provinces and cities: Ninh Binh, Hung Yen, Soc Trang , Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ngai, tourism experts, investors, representatives of tourism businesses, tourism services in Ho Chi Minh City and some provinces and cities in the Southern region. Media agencies, newspapers, Central Radio and Television Station and in Ho Chi Minh City.

Conference Overview

The conference took place within the framework of the 19th Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair. This was an opportunity for Lang Son province to expand cooperation and connect with domestic and international travel businesses, contributing to introducing Lang Son UNESCO Global Geopark and widely promoting the province's cultural and tourism potential.

Mr. Luu Ba Mac - Deputy Director of Lang Son Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism delivered the opening speech at the Conference.

The conference was attended by nearly 100 delegates representing central and local agencies, tourism businesses, and tourism organizations across the country. Through the conference, the Organizing Committee received important comments to contribute to the construction and development orientation of Lang Son UNESCO Global Geopark in the coming time, becoming an attractive tourism product for visitors to Lang Son, thereby having appropriate, innovative, creative ways to increase the effectiveness and efficiency in management, business, and tourism development of the province in a sustainable direction, in line with the potential and advantages of the province.

The conference achieved the goal of introducing and fully evaluating the value of cultural resources, heritage, geology, and tourism of Lang Son UNESCO Global Geopark, serving as a basis for building specific products for the province, meeting the increasing needs of domestic and foreign tourists, contributing to building the tourism product brand of Lang Son province.

The conference listened to the opinions of the delegates on the role of connection, support, and coordination in exploiting tourism products in the UNESCO Global Geopark Region in the tourist market of the Southern region. Building and developing services to support tourism activities, improving the quality and value of tourism services, promoting Lang Son geological tourism to the tourist market of the Southern region. Cooperating in the field of communication, promotion; signing cooperation agreements, exchanging tourists, building inter-regional and inter-route tourism products, survey programs, connecting destinations into tours, tourist routes between travel businesses between Lang Son province and Ho Chi Minh City. Sharing experiences in building and sustainably exploiting cave tourism products, consulting on developing cave tourism in the UNESCO Global Geopark Region of Lang Son. Experience in developing sustainable tourism, implementing solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and implementing a roadmap towards the goal of net zero emissions (Net - Zero) in exploiting geological and adventure tourism.

The conference received the wishes of businesses for tourism products in the Lang Son UNESCO Global Geopark area to attract tourists in the Southern market. Building tourism products, geological tours to attract tourists in the Southern market to Lang Son province. Proposals of travel businesses in Ho Chi Minh City, the Southern region when developing the market, tourism products to bring tourists to Lang Son and vice versa.
