Quang Ninh is promoting the construction of ethnic cultural villages to become unique local tourism products.

"For me and the people here, when the State invests in such a large and spacious project, we are very happy and proud. I want to spread and introduce the Soong Co singing, traditional costumes and wedding rituals of the San Diu people. People still preserve their working tools; and Soong Co singing is still sung in daily life," said Ms. Tu Thi Sinh.

After coming into operation, San Diu cultural village has become a community living space for people of Binh Dan commune.

In order to preserve and promote the cultural values of ethnic minority areas, the San Diu Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village in Voong Tre village was invested in and built as part of Plan No. 161/KH-UBND dated June 21, 2023 of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province on "Piloting the construction, preservation and promotion of cultural identity values of 4 ethnic minority villages associated with the development of community tourism in the mountainous areas of Quang Ninh province in the period of 2023-2025". This conservation does not stop at preserving heritage but also helps the younger generation better understand the origin and national identity, fostering pride; contributing to raising the sense of responsibility of each person and the community.

The San Diu people still maintain making traditional cakes as a way to preserve cultural values.

Mr. To Van Luu - Secretary and Chairman of Binh Dan Commune People's Committee said that in order for the Cultural Village to become a typical destination of the locality, the district has worked with travel agencies to introduce and build sightseeing routes to serve tourists: "The district has a policy of developing community tourism in the area, associated with the district's tours. The locality is also continuing to promote the San Diu traditional house by building operating regulations associated with community tourism in households".

The construction of cultural villages into tourism products demonstrates Quang Ninh's long-term vision in preserving culture, which is expected to reduce the load on central tourist destinations such as Ha Long, Yen Tu... while promoting the local economy and increasing income for people in ethnic minority areas.
