On the morning of May 5, before the opening of the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly, National Assembly deputies laid wreaths and visited President Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum.

On the morning of May 5, before the opening of the 9th session, the 15th National Assembly will consider and decide on many important issues of the country. Party and State leaders and National Assembly deputies will lay wreaths and visit President Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum.

Attending the funeral were General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh , and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

Also attending were many Party and State leaders and National Assembly delegates attending the 9th session.

After finishing the mausoleum visit, the delegates will return to Dien Hong Hall to conduct a preparatory meeting. The official opening session of the 9th session will begin at 9am this morning - Photo: GIA HAN

The 9th session will be held in two phases. Phase 1 will be from May 5 to May 29. Phase 2 will be from June 11 and is expected to close no later than June 30.

The total working time of the National Assembly is expected to be over 37 days and some weekends will be worked.

The meeting considered and decided on many important issues, including amending the 2013 Constitution and deciding to merge provinces.
