On the morning of May 26, 2026, the High School for Foreign Languages ​​– University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University, Hanoi , solemnly held its closing ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year with the theme "A Brilliant Journey". The ceremony was an opportunity for teachers and students to reflect on a year of hard work and to mark a significant turning point for 12th-grade students on their journey to maturity and conquering new heights.

Attending the ceremony, on behalf of the University of Foreign Languages ​​- VNU Hanoi, were Mr. Hoa Ngoc Son - Vice Rector, along with representatives from various functional departments.

Representing the Foreign Language Specialized High School were Mr. Nguyen Phu Chien - Principal, Ms. Do Thi Ngoc Chi - Vice Principal, Ms. Mai Thi Loan - Vice Principal, along with all staff, teachers, students from all grades, and a large number of parents.

Following the opening cultural performance was a solemn flag-raising ceremony. The national anthem resounded across the schoolyard, reminding each student of their national pride and civic responsibility on the journey ahead. In that sacred moment, teachers and students alike turned towards the red flag with a yellow star, reflecting on the closing of the school year and preparing to embark on a new chapter for the 55th graduating class.

In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Phu Chien – the Principal of the school – delivered a speech summarizing the academic year, highlighting the outstanding achievements and memorable milestones of the teachers and students of the Foreign Language Specialized High School throughout a year of continuous effort. He emphasized three key tasks that the school has effectively implemented in the 2025-2026 academic year, including: comprehensive digital transformation; initially introducing English as a second language in the school; and building the Foreign Language Specialized High School into a model of community service.

With the high sense of responsibility and determination of all teachers and students, the school year concluded with many impressive figures: 99.95% of students achieved excellent academic results, and 99.75% achieved excellent conduct results. The school also recorded many outstanding achievements such as 38 National Excellent Student awards, 108 VNU Olympic awards, and 28 awards at the Excellent Student competition for specialized schools in the Coastal and Northern Delta regions. In addition, many students excelled in winning international scholarships and were admitted to prestigious universities around the world .

Extracurricular activities during the school year were also vibrant, with nearly 30 outstanding programs such as Ten Plus (10+), CNN Olympics, and the Colors of Foreign Language Specialization… contributing to building a comprehensive, dynamic, and inspiring educational environment for students.

To acknowledge and commend the outstanding efforts of groups and individuals with excellent achievements in academics, creativity, sports, and arts, Ms. Do Thi Ngoc Chi – Vice Principal of the school – announced the award decisions. This recognition promises to become a great source of motivation for students to continue to excel and achieve even more success in the future.

The final part of the ceremony was a film looking back at the "1000 glorious days" of the 55th graduating class. In the poignant atmosphere following this special film, the gentle melody of the song "Twenty Years Old," performed by four students: Nguyen Thanh Mai (12E) – Secretary of the School's Student Union Executive Committee for the 2024-2025 term, Nguyen Tran Phuong Linh (12A12) – IC 10+ 2025, Ha Minh Chau (12A7) – Head of the K55 Memory Station, and Nguyen Trong Phuc Hung (12A2), concluded the ceremony with feelings of nostalgia and pride.

The closing ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year was a great success, held in a joyful, enthusiastic atmosphere filled with pride in the achievements made throughout the past school year. We wish all CNNers a fulfilling summer vacation, good health, and continued success on their journey ahead!
