Accordingly, the exam is for 12th graders studying the general education program issued by the Ministry of Education and Training , revised and supplemented in 2022. Candidates participating should pay attention to comply with local epidemic prevention regulations, if any.

Candidates taking the Hanoi National University's HSA exam need to create an account at https://hsa.edu.vn/trang-chu or https://id.hsa.edu.vn/dang-ky to register for the exam. Each account can only be logged in on one computer device at a time.
The 2025 HSA exam will be organized by the Institute of Digital Training and Testing under VNU from March 15 to May 18 in many localities such as Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Hai Phong, etc. The organization of the exam ensures epidemic prevention regulations and is consistent with students' study plans.
The test is conducted on a computer and takes approximately 195-199 minutes. Candidates must complete two compulsory sections: Mathematics & Data Processing (50 questions, 75 minutes) and Literature - Language (50 questions, 60 minutes). In addition, candidates can choose one of two additional sections: Science or English (50 questions, 60 minutes). Sample test papers are published on the official website of the VNU Examination Center.
The exam results and certificates will be announced 14 days after the exam date. Candidates will receive the certificate of results via registered mail, sent to the address and phone number declared in the account.
