The Southeast Asian Women's Volleyball Championship (SEA V.League) officially kicks off its first round tomorrow in Thailand with the high determination of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.

Vietnam women's volleyball team is ready to conquer the highest title at the 2025 SEA V.League volleyball tournament

This year's SEA V.League is divided into 2 stages, including stage 1 in Thailand from August 1 to 3 and stage 2 in Ninh Binh from August 8 to 10. The tournament attracts the participation of the 4 strongest teams in the region: Thailand (reigning champion), Vietnam (runner-up), Indonesia and the Philippines.

Determined to defeat Thailand at SEA V.League

With the current strength, the coaches assess that the race for the SEA V.League championship this year is still a "two-horse" race between the Vietnamese team and the Thai team. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is currently ranked 27th in the world , with players at the peak of their careers such as Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Doan Thi Lam Oanh, Nguyen Khanh Dang. The Thai team (ranked 20th in the world ) also has veteran players such as Chatchu-on, Thatdao, Pimpichaya, Ajcharaporn, Thanacha and is considered to be slightly better. However, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and the Vietnamese team set a high goal of defeating Thailand to strive together.

Thailand is the most formidable opponent of the Vietnamese team in the SEA V.League volleyball tournament.

According to the schedule of the first round of SEA V.League 2025, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen and the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will play the opening match at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow (August 1), against the Indonesian team. In the second round taking place at 1:30 p.m. on August 2, the Vietnamese team will face the Philippine team and in the final round taking place at 5 p.m. on August 3, the Vietnamese team will "fight" the Thai team. Meanwhile, the schedule of the second round has changed when the Vietnamese team will play the opening match against the Philippines (7 p.m. on August 8), the next match against Indonesia (7 p.m. on September 9) and the final match against Thailand (7 p.m. on August 10).

The list of 15 Vietnamese women's volleyball players registered to participate in the SEA V.League 2025 includes: Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Doan Thi Lam Oanh, Nguyen Khanh Dang, Luu Thi Ly Ly, Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh, Pham Thi Hien, Nguyen Thi Phuong, Vo Thi Kim Thoa, Le Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Thi Trinh, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Nguyen Thi Ninh Anh, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh and Tran Thi Bich Thuy.
