From this week, many provinces and cities will start the 2025 public 10th grade exam, starting with Bac Lieu .
In particular, from the morning of May 22 to the morning of May 23 is the general exam schedule. Candidates who register for Bac Lieu High School for the Gifted will take an additional specialized subject exam from the afternoon of May 23 to the morning of May 24.
After Bac Lieu is Lai Chau province, organizing the 10th grade exam on May 25-27.
Provinces that will complete the 10th grade exam in May include Binh Duong (May 28-31), Dien Bien (May 28-29), Dong Nai (May 29-30) and Quang Tri (May 30-31).
The only province that conducts the 10th grade exam in July is Vinh Long. The entrance exam to Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted in this province takes place on July 1-2. Non-specialized high schools organize admission exams.
In June, Hanoi will finish the 10th grade exam no later than June 9, for students taking specialized exams.
The 2025 public 10th grade exam is the final exam with 63 provinces and cities. Localities follow the high school admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, which is to consider or take an entrance exam in 3 subjects including compulsory math, literature and a third subject.
The majority of provinces and cities choose foreign language as the third subject. Only Ha Giang chooses history and geography.
