According to the announcement of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, candidates will be present at the testing site on the morning of June 5 to check personal information and take the test on June 6 and 7.

On June 6, candidates will take the Literature exam (morning) and Foreign Language exam (afternoon). The time for these two exams is 120 minutes and 90 minutes respectively.

On June 7, candidates will take the Math exam (morning) and the specialized/integrated subject exam (afternoon). The Math exam lasts 120 minutes and the specialized subject exam lasts 150 minutes.

The examination board will mark the exams from June 12 to June 17. The results are expected to be announced on June 20. Units with 9th grade students will begin accepting applications for review from candidates from June 21 to June 24.

Also on June 24, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced the admission scores for specialized and integrated high schools and the direct admission results. On July 10, the department announced the admission scores for grade 10 and the list of candidates admitted to grade 10 for the 2023-2024 school year.

Information on registration of wishes for the 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City

The exam questions are based on the secondary school curriculum issued by the Ministry of Education and Training , mainly for grade 9 and are guaranteed to be accurate, clear, error-free, and differentiate student levels.

Each student can register for 3 wishes to enter high schools (except Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, Ho Chi Minh City National University High School for the Gifted). Students registering for the entrance exam to grade 10 will take the Math - Literature - Foreign Language and the specialized subject.

After being admitted, candidates will not be allowed to change their wishes.

Regarding direct admission, students with disabilities (with certificates according to regulations) and graduating from secondary school in the 2022-2023 school year in Ho Chi Minh City will be considered for direct admission.

Students who meet the following conditions are also admitted directly according to the regulations of the Department, including: Winning national and international prizes in culture, arts, physical education and sports; winning prizes in national science and technology competitions for middle and high school students (national prizes organized or co-organized by the Ministry of Education and Training ; international prizes sent by the Ministry of Education and Training or the Department of Education and Training).

Students who are eligible for direct admission have the right to choose direct admission or take an entrance exam like other candidates.
