Liverpool asks to borrow Mbappe

Liverpool have reportedly offered Kylian Mbappe a one-year loan deal after he rejected a bid from Saudi Arabia.

According to Mirror (UK), Liverpool has made a huge offer to have Mbappe's service. They agreed to pay PSG a large sum of money, and agreed to let this striker move freely to Real next summer.

Previously, Al Hilal offered PSG a record transfer fee of $330 million and the French club accepted. The Saudi Arabian club also offered him a salary of $775 million a year. But Mbappe refused, insisting on staying in Europe to play.

The 24-year-old striker wants to fulfill his dream of playing for Real. Real also tried to bring Mbappe back early but did not have enough money to meet the $256 million that PSG demanded.

Liverpool believe their offer could satisfy all parties in this deal. Mbappe could go to Real, while PSG receive a fair amount instead of losing their number one star for free.

In 2018, before moving to PSG, Mbappe had negotiated with Liverpool. The French international revealed to the Telegraph last year: "We talked but not much. I negotiated with Liverpool because it's my mother's favorite club. It's a big team. We met them five years ago when I was at Monaco."

Real Madrid play a key role in Mbappe's future. PSG believe the 24-year-old star has already agreed to move to the Bernabeu on a free transfer next summer, in exchange for a large signing-on fee. So, after the 2-0 friendly win over La Havre on July 21, PSG removed Mbappe from the squad for the summer tour of Japan and put him on the transfer market.

Mbappe then reportedly responded by declaring his willingness to sit on the bench at PSG in the 2023-2024 season.

Mbappe currently holds the record for scoring 212 goals in 260 games for PSG. With the French national team, the 24-year-old striker ranks fifth on the list of goalscorers with 40 goals, 14 goals behind leader Olivier Giroud. He has won six Ligue 1 titles, three French Cups, two French League Cups, two French Super Cups, the 2018 World Cup and the 2021 Nations League.
