Fresh rice decreased, rice increased

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of OM 18 rice (fresh) decreased by 200 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,300 - 6,400 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) decreased by 200 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,300 - 6,400 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,700 - 5,900 VND/kg; IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,500 - 5,600 VND/kg; OM 380 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,000 - 5,200 VND/kg; Nhat rice was at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice was at 9,200 VND/kg.

In many localities today, the supply is better, the buying and selling transactions are more active. In Kien Giang , the demand for fragrant rice, IR50404, buying and selling transactions are steady, the price of fragrant rice has increased slightly. In Hau Giang, there are many rice offers, rice buying and selling transactions are slow, rice prices fluctuate little.

In Long An , the demand for fragrant rice is quite high, new transactions are stable, and prices are stagnant. In An Giang, farmers offer high prices in some areas, and transactions are steady. In Dong Thap, farmers offer higher prices for good quality rice, rice transactions are quite good, and prices of all types of rice fluctuate little.

Regarding by-products, the prices of by-products fluctuate from 5,550 - 7,300 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant broken rice fluctuates at 7,100 - 7,300 VND/kg; broken rice 3-4 increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,400 - 6,600/kg; the price of dry bran fluctuates at 5,550 - 5,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Recorded in localities today, the quantity is quite good, the price is relatively stable. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the quantity is small, fragrant and sticky rice is mainly imported from Cambodia, raw rice of all kinds fluctuates slightly. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the quantity is better, buying and selling transactions are regular, the quality of the imported rice is slightly reduced due to waiting to dry.

Sa Dec market (Dong Thap) has more rice arriving at the ports than before, prices of all types of rice are stable, market warehouses buy regularly. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), the quantity is sporadic, prices are stable, buying and selling transactions are still slow, most people choose to buy VIP goods.

At retail markets, the prices of all types of rice remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND15,000 - 16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000 - 22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND18,000 - 20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice 22,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000/kg; common white rice 17,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice 21,000/kg; Japanese rice 22,000/kg.

In the market, Vietnam's rice export prices today remained unchanged from yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 389 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 364 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 307 USD/ton.
