Rice prices today, May 29, 2026: Fresh paddy prices fluctuate in opposite directions.

Rice prices in the Mekong Delta region fluctuated today, May 29th; domestic rice exports and the Asian rice export market remained stable.

Today's rice prices, recorded on the world market, show that in Thailand, 5% broken rice ranges from 440-444 USD/ton, while 100% broken rice ranges from 41-415 USD/ton. Meanwhile, in India, 5% broken rice is priced at 342-346 USD/ton, and 100% broken rice is offered at 280-284 USD/ton.

The global rice market continues to be impacted by geopolitical conflicts, high energy prices, and persistently high logistics costs, putting pressure on supply and demand and leading to cautious trading.

In Asia, rice exports are more active, and rice prices have risen compared to mid-May, sending positive signals. However, prices remain volatile and have not yet formed a stable trend due to the ongoing tug-of-war between supply and demand.

In the domestic market, rice prices today, May 29, 2026, in the Mekong Delta region are fluctuating, with slow trading activity.

Regarding rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province and Vietnam Rice, the current prices are as follows: OM 5451 raw rice ranges from 9,500 - 9,600 VND/kg; CL 555 export raw rice ranges from 9,000 - 9,200 VND/kg; IR 504 export raw rice ranges from 8,400 - 8,550 VND/kg; OM 18 export raw rice ranges from 8,700 - 8,850 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 raw rice ranges from 9,200 - 9,400 VND/kg; OM 380 export raw rice ranges from 7,500 - 7,600 VND/kg; and Soc Thom export raw rice ranges from 7,500 - 7,600 VND/kg. Finished IR 504 rice prices fluctuated between 10,750 and 10,090 VND/kg, compared to yesterday.

Regarding by-products, prices fluctuated around 7,600 – 7,800 VND/kg. Currently, broken rice (grades 3-4) is priced at 7,600 - 7,700 VND/kg; bran prices are also fluctuating at 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg, compared to yesterday.

Observations in various localities today indicate a quiet market with little fluctuation in rice prices. In An Giang, trading is slow, and prices for all types of rice remain relatively stable.

In the Sa Dec area (Dong Thap province), the volume of goods arriving at the docks is low, and prices remain stable. In An Cu, Dong Thap province, export warehouses are slow to purchase, and prices are relatively stable.

At retail markets, rice prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice is listed at the highest price of 28,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice at 22,000 VND/kg; Thai long-grain fragrant rice ranges from 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice at 21,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice at 20,000 VND/kg; common white rice at 16,000 VND/kg; regular rice ranges from 12,000 - 13,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice ranges from 13,000 - 14,000 VND/kg; regular Soc rice ranges from 16,000 - 17,000 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice at 20,000 VND/kg; and Japanese rice at 22,000 VND/kg.

Regarding rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the price of fresh OM 18 rice has decreased by 200 VND/kg, fluctuating between 6,400 and 6,500 VND/kg; the price of fresh Dai Thom 8 rice has decreased by 200 VND/kg, fluctuating between 6,400 and 6,500 VND/kg; the price of fresh OM 5451 rice has decreased by 200 VND/kg, fluctuating between 5,700 and 5,800 VND/kg; the price of fresh IR 50404 rice has increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating between 5,500 and 5,600 VND/kg; and the price of fresh OM 34 rice is fluctuating between 5,100 and 5,200 VND/kg, compared to yesterday.

Reports from various localities today indicate that the buying and selling of early summer-autumn rice is showing signs of improvement. In Dong Thap, demand is slow, and farmers are offering higher prices in some areas of Thap Muoi and Tam Nong.

In An Giang, summer-autumn rice supplies have begun to be offered for sale, but farmers are maintaining high prices, and buyers are buying less due to price probing and price fluctuations. In Can Tho, Ca Mau, Vinh Long, and Tay Ninh, summer-autumn rice supplies have also begun to be offered for sale, but buyers are probing and prices are less volatile.

On the export market, the price of Vietnamese rice currently varies. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), Jasmine rice is offered at 528-532 USD/ton; fragrant rice with 5% broken grains ranges from 505-520 USD/ton; and fragrant rice with 100% broken grains ranges from 337-341 USD/ton.
