The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival DIFF 2026 has officially opened.

DIFF 2026 attracted over 10,000 spectators on its opening night, kicking off a large-scale festival season with many technological innovations and experiences.

On the evening of May 30th, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026 (DIFF 2026), organized by the Da Nang City People's Committee in collaboration with Sun Group, officially opened.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, affirmed: "DIFF 2026 , themed 'Da Nang - Connecting Horizons,' reflects the city's desire for a dynamic image, a place connecting culture, tourism , creativity, and international cooperation."

The Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee also expressed Da Nang's pride that DIFF has been selected by the prestigious travel magazine Travel + Leisure as one of the 9 most worthwhile summer festivals on the planet. "This is recognition from the international community for the attractiveness, scale, artistry, and reach of an event bearing the Vietnamese brand," Mr. Hung emphasized.

With the theme "Nature," the opening night of DIFF 2026 officially began with performances by the host team Da Nang (Vietnam) and the defending champion China, kicking off a series of six fireworks nights lasting from May 30 to July 11.

The two teams painted a vibrant picture of life, the beauty of the blue planet, and the yearning for connection between humanity and nature, taking the audience on a sublime journey of light, music, and art masterpieces.

This year, for the first time, DIFF is offering audiences personalized "digital gifts" powered by artificial intelligence (AI) through the Sun Paradise Land app, transforming personal moments with the fireworks into vintage-style postage stamps and electronic postcards to send to loved ones.

With large-scale investment, elevated artistic content, and the participation of top international teams, DIFF 2026 continues to affirm its position as one of the most spectacular fireworks festivals in the region, contributing to positioning Da Nang as a "city of festivals and events" on the international tourism map.
