According to many cooking guides, the ideal time to boil quail eggs is from the moment the water starts boiling so that the egg whites are cooked through while the yolks remain soft and runny. - 2 minutes: The egg whites are slightly set, while the yolks are almost still runny.

- 4 minutes: The yolk is thicker but still smooth, creamy, and rich.
