Speaking to Tri Thức - Znews , Mr. Phan Văn Thảo, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Department of the Lý Sơn Special Economic Zone (Quảng Ngãi), said that in recent times, the situation of tourists stepping out onto the guardrail area (right at the edge of the cliff) to take photos has continued, despite the local authorities' efforts to warn by installing guardrails on the road leading to the summit of Thới Lới mountain and placing warning signs.
This area attracts tourists because of its panoramic views of the special administrative region, but it is also very dangerous due to its steep slopes and weathered rock surfaces, making it easy to slip and fall. Furthermore, strong winds can also cause unexpected accidents.
"In the coming time, the local authorities will coordinate with tourism companies and accommodation establishments in the area to disseminate information and warn tourists about the area outside the guardrail on Thoi Loi mountain peak in particular and other dangerous areas in Ly Son in general. Raising awareness is very important, as the number of tourists visiting the special economic zone is increasing," Mr. Thao said.

Thoi Loi Mountain is the largest and highest volcano in the Ly Son Special Economic Zone, with its peak rising over 149 meters above sea level. This peak was formed from five long-extinct volcanoes located in the eastern part of the zone. The volcanic eruptions also created towering cliffs along the coastline.
In addition, Thoi Loi is a famous scenic spot here, featuring a freshwater lake at the summit, a cave at the foot of the mountain, and many archaeological sites buried underground.
Previously, the local authorities had also warned tourists against climbing the To Vo Arch to take photos, as this behavior is not only dangerous but could also damage the national monument of Ly Son.
