After universities in Dong Nai announced the admission scores for 2025, it showed that the average scores of the schools have improved significantly compared to previous years. This is a good sign, helping schools improve the quality of input to serve the process of training high-quality human resources for the province.

Changes in benchmark scores for the education sector

In 2025, Dong Nai University (Tam Hiep Ward) will enroll students for 11 majors, including 6 pedagogical majors and 5 non-pedagogical majors. After announcing the admission scores, the school determined that 1,609 candidates were admitted in this round, including 649 candidates admitted to pedagogical majors and 960 candidates admitted to non-pedagogical majors. Most of the admission scores of the school's majors in 2025 tend to increase, with pedagogical majors still leading the way, which is the school's traditional strength.

Specifically, the major with the highest benchmark score is literature pedagogy with 26.51 points (an increase of 1.01 points compared to the previous year), the second highest is mathematics pedagogy with 25.41 points (an increase of 0.16 points compared to the previous year), the major with the third highest benchmark score is preschool education (university level) with 24.7 points (an increase of 2.45 points compared to the previous year), the major with the fourth highest benchmark score is English pedagogy with 24.49 points (an increase of 0.26 points compared to the previous year), the major with the fifth highest benchmark score is primary education with 23.1 points (a decrease of 1.15 points compared to the previous year), the major with the sixth highest benchmark score is preschool education (college level) with 21.77 points (an increase of 1.27 points compared to the previous year).

Meanwhile, the benchmark scores for non-pedagogical majors of Dong Nai University are: electrical and electronic engineering technology 22 points, English language 18.16 points, mechanical engineering 18 points, business administration and accounting both have benchmark scores of 16 points.

According to Dong Nai University, the admission score based on the results of the high school graduation exam in 2025 is considered quite "beautiful" compared to previous years. If comparing the admission score based on the results of the high school graduation exam, Dong Nai University has a much higher admission score than other universities in the province with a fairly large gap.

In 2025, universities and university branches in Dong Nai are expected to enroll about 10,000 students, mainly at the university level. 2025 is the first year that the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education Branch in Dong Xoai Ward (Dong Nai Province) officially starts enrolling and training with an expected enrollment target of 500 students.

Many schools have "easy" benchmark scores

According to the announcement of the Forestry University Branch in Dong Nai (Trang Bom commune), the admission scores of 15 university-level training majors in 2025 have not changed much. In the admission method based on high school graduation exam results, 9/15 majors have a benchmark score of 15 points (average 5 points/subject), the remaining 6 majors have a benchmark score of 16 points. In the high school transcript review method, there are 2 score levels of 18 and 18.8 points (average more than 6 points/subject).

For private universities in the province, due to fierce competition with universities in Ho Chi Minh City, the admission score in 2025 will not fluctuate significantly. Except for health training majors such as pharmacy, nursing, and medical testing, which have higher admission scores, from 19 points or more, due to the application of the Ministry of Education and Training's input quality assurance threshold, the remaining majors have similar admission scores, depending on the admission method.

The "standard" scores of private universities in Dong Nai province in 2025 are similar, however, some majors have improved their benchmark scores compared to last year. For example, Lac Hong University, except for pharmacy, which is still the major with the highest benchmark score, while the remaining majors, if admitted based on high school graduation exam scores, are commonly 15 points. With the method of considering high school transcripts, the common benchmark score is from 18 points or more (3 subjects) and the highest is 21.27 points. The school applies the admission method based on the competency assessment test scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University with a benchmark score of 700 points for pharmacy, the remaining majors have a common benchmark score of 500 points.

It is predicted that Dong Nai University will likely complete enrollment early, due to the advantages of a public university. Students of Dong Nai University can be exempted from tuition fees for pedagogical majors, and non-pedagogical majors also have appropriate tuition fees.

Dr. Nguyen Van Trung, Head of Admissions and Public Relations Department of Lac Hong University (Tran Bien Ward), said: Immediately after announcing the admission scores, the school has started the admission process for successful candidates. Successful candidates who enroll early will have many incentives in terms of scholarship policies, dormitories, travel expenses support and additional support for skill courses.

Meanwhile, Dr. Doan Manh Quynh, Principal of Dong Nai University of Technology (Trang Dai Ward), said: The school has implemented the admission process for successful candidates from August 23 until the quota of over 2,000 students is met.
