Suspect detained for intentional infliction of injury.

On the afternoon of August 26th, the Investigation Police Department of An Giang province issued a decision to initiate a criminal case, indict the suspect, and order the temporary detention of Nguyen Thi Nhu Y (born in 1997, residing in Hoa Long hamlet, Dinh My commune, An Giang province) for the act of intentionally causing injury.

The investigating agency served the decisions to initiate criminal proceedings, indict the suspect, and issue a detention order against Nguyen Thi Nhu Y.

Previously, at approximately 4:40 PM on June 18, 2025, due to a personal conflict while working at a company in Phu Hoa commune, Nguyen Thi Nhu Y used a switchblade to inflict injuries on Nguyen Ngoc Huyen (born in 2000, residing in Thanh Nien hamlet, Phu Hoa commune), resulting in a 59% bodily injury rate due to all the injuries.

The incident is currently under investigation by the authorities.
