Director arrested for defrauding over 3.5 billion VND.

On June 3rd, the Criminal Investigation Agency (PC01) of the An Giang Provincial Police announced that it had issued a decision to initiate a criminal case, indict the suspect, and issue an arrest warrant for temporary detention against Nguyen Phuoc Hau (born in 1993, residing in Dinh My commune, An Giang province) for the crime of fraud and appropriation of property.

The Investigation Police Department of An Giang province has executed an order to arrest and detain Nguyen Phuoc Hau.

During the investigation, it was determined that Nguyen Phuoc Hau, the Director of Phuoc Nguyen Agricultural Company Limited, needed money to pay off debts and for personal expenses, so he conceived the idea of ​​embezzling money from Viet Trung Pesticide Joint Stock Company (hereinafter referred to as Viet Trung Company). After Hau contacted Viet Trung Company to purchase pesticides, the company agreed.

From October 4th, 2025 to November 6th, 2025, Viet Trung Company sold Hau various types of pesticides worth over 4.2 billion VND. Hau then resold them to other organizations and individuals at prices 10% to 15% lower than Viet Trung Company's prices. Hau sold pesticides worth over 3.5 billion VND, returning the remaining pesticides to Viet Trung Company.

After receiving over 3.5 billion VND from the sale of pesticides to several organizations and individuals, Hau did not pay Viet Trung Company but instead misappropriated the money for personal use and debt repayment.

In order to erase evidence and conceal his criminal activities, Hau did not keep records for both the buying and selling transactions, did not issue invoices when reselling, and destroyed all receipts and related documents.

The case is currently under further investigation. The Criminal Investigation Agency of the An Giang Provincial Police Department is calling on anyone who is a victim of Nguyen Phuoc Hau to contact the Office of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the An Giang Provincial Police Department (address: 507 Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, Rach Gia Ward, An Giang Province) and speak with investigator Khuu Quoc Hieu, phone number 0909.050.333, to cooperate in resolving the case.
