Earlier, on the evening of April 11th, the patient was admitted to the emergency room in a state of severe hemorrhagic shock, with pale skin and mucous membranes, a rapid pulse of approximately 150 beats per minute, and blood pressure of 50/30 mmHg.

The patient had multiple bleeding wounds in the abdominal area. This was an extremely urgent emergency, directly threatening the patient's life. Upon admission, the on-call team activated the red alert procedure, transferring the patient directly to the operating room for emergency surgery to control the bleeding. During the surgery, the doctors noted approximately 2,000 ml of blood in the abdominal cavity.

Upon examination, multiple severe injuries were discovered, including rupture of the inferior vena cava, left renal vein, superior mesenteric artery bundle, transverse colon perforation, and multiple lesions in the small intestine. These were all complex injuries, especially since they occurred simultaneously in a patient in shock.

The surgical team had to control bleeding from major blood vessels while simultaneously managing gastrointestinal injuries under hemodynamically unstable conditions. The surgery was performed under the direction of Dr. Le Ngoc Ha, Head of the General Surgery Department at Binh Duong General Hospital, with the collaboration of multiple specialties.

According to the doctors, this is a severe case, with a high risk of death if not treated promptly.

After surgery, the patient continued to receive intensive care, including large-volume blood transfusions, vasopressors, and close monitoring of vital signs. In the first few days after the operation, the condition remained serious, but gradually improved.

By the 10th day, the patient was conscious, able to eat light meals, sit up, and perform basic movements. After assessing their overall condition and finding them stable, the patient was discharged. According to the doctors, cases of abdominal trauma accompanied by major blood vessel damage often progress very rapidly, with a high risk of death if not treated promptly and correctly. Early detection, rapid transport, and timely intervention are crucial factors in improving the prognosis.
