Vinh City General Hospital has a new director.

SKĐS - Dr. Trinh Xuan Nam has been appointed Director of Vinh City General Hospital. He pledged to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, promote digital transformation, and continue sustainable development to better serve patients.

On June 1st, the Nghe An Department of Health held a conference to announce the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Trinh Xuan Nam as Director of Vinh City General Hospital.

Attending the conference were the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Vo Trong Hai; the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Duong Dinh Chinh; the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Thai Van Thanh; leaders of the Department of Health, hospitals, and medical units, along with officials, employees, and workers of Vinh City General Hospital.

Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai, along with other provincial leaders, presented flowers to congratulate Mr. Trinh Xuan Nam on his new position.

Dr. Trinh Xuan Nam is a specialist in intensive care and has over 30 years of experience in the medical field. Prior to his appointment, he worked for 12 years at Nghia Dan District Medical Center and 19 years at Nghe An Friendship General Hospital, holding various positions from attending physician to head of department, Deputy Director of the hospital, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the hospital's management board.

Mr. Thai Van Thanh urged the new director to quickly familiarize himself with the job, leverage his management experience and professional expertise to work with the hospital team to continue innovating and developing.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Thai Van Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, assessed Mr. Trinh Xuan Nam as a well-trained official with deep expertise, rich practical experience, and management capabilities. In his various positions, Mr. Nam has always demonstrated a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm, earning the trust and recognition of his colleagues and patients.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that Vinh City General Hospital, with over 60 years of history and development, is a shining example of Nghe An's health sector in implementing financial autonomy, administrative reform, and digital transformation. In the context of the health sector facing many new demands, the hospital needs to continue to uphold its traditions and innovate strongly to better meet the healthcare needs of the people.

Leaders from the Department of Health, the People's Committee of Truong Vinh Ward, and various hospitals presented flowers to congratulate the new Director of Vinh City General Hospital.

Assigning tasks to the new Director, Mr. Thai Van Thanh requested that Mr. Trinh Xuan Nam quickly familiarize himself with the work, utilize his management experience and professional expertise to work with the hospital team to continue innovating and developing, maintaining its position as one of the leading general hospitals in the province.

Furthermore, the hospital needs to focus on improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, prioritizing patient care; building a team of highly qualified and ethically sound medical professionals; and emphasizing the training of high-quality human resources, especially young doctors. Simultaneously, it should continue to promote digital transformation, applying information technology and artificial intelligence in management and medical examination and treatment; developing advanced techniques; and establishing cutting-edge specialties to create a unique identity for the hospital.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the hospital to strengthen professional cooperation with central-level hospitals and major medical facilities; effectively mobilize resources to invest in modern infrastructure and equipment, and diversify medical services to better meet the healthcare needs of the people.

Mr. Trinh Xuan Nam pledged to work with the hospital staff to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, and to better serve the people.

Upon assuming his new role, Mr. Trinh Xuan Nam expressed his honor and emotion at being entrusted with the responsibility of Director of Vinh City General Hospital by the provincial leadership and the Department of Health. He affirmed that he will continuously learn, uphold a sense of responsibility, and work together with the hospital's staff and employees to build upon the achievements of previous generations and further develop the hospital.
