On February 6th, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City held a meeting with former and current leaders, officials, and staff of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.

Ms. Bui Huyen Mai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, and Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Hoa, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, presided over the conference.

From July 1, 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and other political and social organizations and mass associations assigned tasks by the Party and State will be streamlined and reorganized into a unified model under the direct control of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. This is not just an organizational change, but a profound transformation to ensure the Front truly becomes the center of national unity, accompanying the Capital City in its new development phase.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, Bui Huyen Mai, expressed her joy and appreciation in welcoming former leaders, officials, and staff of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City from various periods, who have contributed to building and nurturing the house of great unity in the capital city today.

According to Comrade Bui Huyen Mai, 2025 is a special year, marking an important milestone for the country, the capital city of Hanoi, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front system. Following the directives of the Politburo and the Secretariat, from July 1, 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front system in Hanoi will be restructured and reorganized according to a new model, in which political and social organizations will be brought together under the umbrella of the Fatherland Front.

Alongside this, the two-tiered local government model was officially implemented synchronously. After a period of operation, the new model has shown positive results, ensuring smooth, effective, and efficient operation. This achievement is thanks to the solid foundation built over many generations of Hanoi Front officials, who have persistently built, preserved, and promoted the tradition of solidarity, responsibility, and dedication to Front work.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City emphasized that in the coming time, the city will continue to improve the effectiveness of its four pillars: the Party, the People's Council, the People's Committee, and the Fatherland Front and other political and social organizations. Within this overall framework, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi City will continue to inherit and promote the tradition of solidarity and unity; accelerate the renewal of its content and methods of operation; and build a widespread movement among the people, in accordance with the guiding spirit of General Secretary To Lam, which is to promote genuine democracy, taking the people as the foundation, considering the people as the subject, center, and goal of all policies, based on Ho Chi Minh's ideology. These viewpoints will be concretized to suit the specific characteristics of Hanoi.
