
The inter-village traffic route from Solidarity Group No. 2 to Solidarity Group No. 3 in Trung Nam residential group, Trung Phuoc town, Nong Son, nearly 2km long, was completed and put into use at the end of 2023.
Along with state resources, the locality has mobilized people to donate land, buildings and crops to widen the road, creating convenience for people's travel.
Mr. Phan Van Nha (in Trung Nam residential group) is one of the households donating land to widen the road. He shared that before, this road was only 3m wide, narrow, dusty in the sun and muddy in the rain, making it difficult to travel. After being persuaded by the government, his family donated nearly 1,000m2 of land and fruit trees to build the road.
“Now that there is a new, clean and beautiful road, everyone is excited. It is more convenient for our people to travel, almost everyone here agrees with this policy,” said Mr. Nha.
Mr. Pham Huy Cuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trung Phuoc town said that in order to gather the strength of solidarity among the people in recent times, the locality has always implemented well the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit", thanks to which people are unanimous, supportive, and contribute to the implementation.
To date, people have voluntarily donated more than 10,000 square meters of land, structures, trees, crops and thousands of working days to clear many rural roads, intra-field canals and other public works.
According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nong Son district, the implementation of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas (NTM) and civilized urban areas" towards the goal of Nong Son district meeting NTM standards by 2025 has created consensus and great response from the people.
Up to now, the whole district has achieved 91 criteria, an average of 18.2 criteria/commune; 2 communes have registered to meet advanced NTM standards by 2025 and 12 villages have been approved for model NTM village plans for the period 2022 - 2025. The poverty rate in the whole district has decreased from 13.13% (in 2019) to 7.25% (in 2023).
Mr. Pham Phu Thuy - Head of the District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nong Son district said that implementing the Resolution of the 3rd Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front Delegates of Nong Son district, term 2019 - 2024, up to now, 11/12 main targets have been achieved and exceeded.
The Front has coordinated to organize 37 "direct dialogue" conferences between the heads of Party committees and authorities with the people at the district level, reaching a rate of 106%; 100% of the Fronts at all levels have done a good job of social supervision and criticism, and coordination regulations between the Front and the People's Council and People's Committee at the same level; 100% of temporary houses in the district have been supported and built; every year the rate of cultural families has reached and exceeded the set plan...
