From the beginning of May, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee issued a plan to organize the "Supporting Students During Exams" program in 2026, mobilizing a large number of Youth Union members and young people to participate in supporting candidates before, during, and after the exam. For the 2026-2027 entrance exam to public high schools, more than 2,000 volunteer youth, including students, high school students, and Youth Union members from various localities, participated throughout the province. On average, each exam site had 3 volunteer teams to support candidates and their families. These volunteer teams focused on various activities such as: guiding candidates through exam procedures, managing traffic flow, providing free drinking water and fans, assisting disadvantaged candidates, and coordinating the handling of situations arising related to health, weather, and security.
From early morning at the examination sites, youth union members and volunteers were present to prepare the necessary conditions to serve candidates and their families. Under the scorching early summer sun, the image of volunteers directing traffic, holding umbrellas to escort candidates from the school gates to the examination area, and distributing free drinking water and fans became a beautiful highlight of this year's exam season. In Pho Hien ward, the ward's Youth Union implemented the "Supporting the Exam Season" program at three examination sites: Hung Yen High School, Hung Yen Specialized High School, and An Tao Secondary School, with over 620 youth union members and volunteers participating. These examination sites had a large number of candidates, so support was implemented synchronously and continuously throughout the exam period. Many parents were moved to witness the volunteers enduring the sun for hours to support the candidates. Mr. Nguyen Van Thien, whose child was taking the exam at Hung Yen High School, clearly felt the thoughtful support from the youth union members, from traffic guidance and providing drinking water to holding umbrellas for the candidates. This made him and other parents feel more at ease during the hot weather. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh, Secretary of the Youth Union of Pho Hien Ward, said: "To ensure the program's effectiveness, the Ward Youth Union proactively developed a plan early on, assigning personnel according to specific time slots and tasks at each exam location. Despite the hot weather, the youth union members were very responsible and enthusiastic, hoping to contribute to helping the students feel comfortable and confident entering the exam."

At the exam site at Nguyen Duc Canh High School in Tran Lam Ward, 60 youth union members participated. To ensure effective support, the volunteer force was divided into 5 teams: 2 teams regulating traffic at both ends of the road; 1 team providing support in front of the school gate; 1 team assisting people in finding parking and ensuring smooth traffic flow around the school gate; and 1 team providing emergency support inside the exam site. In addition, the Ward Youth Union mobilized sponsors to provide free drinking water and fans for candidates and parents. Because the exam site at Nguyen Duc Canh High School is located on a road with high traffic density, the Ward Youth Union paid special attention to traffic regulation and assisting parents in finding suitable parking to avoid congestion in front of the school gate. Despite the hot weather, all the youth union members strived to complete their assigned tasks well.
At the exam center at Tien Lu High School in Hoang Hoa Tham commune, the blue volunteer uniforms stood out amidst the early summer sun. The commune's Youth Union mobilized over 120 volunteers to support candidates and parents. Simultaneously, they actively solicited donations from local businesses, providing 80 cases of drinking water and 2,000 fans to serve the candidates. Nguyen Tran Hoang Anh, a candidate at this exam center, was very happy and reassured by the enthusiastic support from the volunteers. The hot weather meant that the cool water bottles, small fans, and words of encouragement from the volunteers helped them feel more comfortable and confident before entering the exam room.
Amidst the scorching summer heat, the simple yet effective offerings of cool water, small fans, and sun umbrellas provided by the volunteers have helped boost the morale of the exam candidates. The image of young volunteers in their green uniforms wholeheartedly supporting students at the exam sites continues to spread the beauty of Hung Yen's youth – full of enthusiasm, responsibility, and a spirit of sharing for the community.
