This was an important directive from Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ca Mau province, at the Conference on Solutions for Sustainable Poverty Reduction in 2026, held on the morning of May 26th.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai demanded that every Party member must "share the hardships" to help people escape poverty in a genuine way.

The conference was connected online to 64 communes and wards in the province. Attending the conference at the Provincial People's Committee's meeting point were: Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Ho Thanh Thuy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province, along with members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee; and relevant departments and agencies.

Reporting at the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Bui Tu Hai stated that in 2025, Ca Mau province achieved many positive results in poverty reduction. The province currently has 3,456 poor households, accounting for 0.63%, exceeding the planned poverty reduction target.

Comrade Ho Trung Viet, Standing Committee Member and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, delivered a presentation on the role of propaganda work and solutions for effectively implementing the sub-project on reducing information poverty in the province.

A notable highlight is that the province has completed the Central Government's program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses ahead of schedule. The entire province supported the construction and repair of 9,594 houses with a total budget of over 471 billion VND. Furthermore, the province proactively implemented the Livelihood Support Project for the period 2025-2027 with a total budget of over 578 billion VND, focusing on supporting policy beneficiaries and poor ethnic minority households to help people increase their income and stabilize their lives.
