Focus on preparing for the high school graduation exam.

Currently, high schools in the province are intensifying review sessions to help 12th-grade students prepare for the 2026 high school graduation exam. Compared to last year, this year's exam will take place earlier (on June 11th and 12th), making this a crucial period for students to consolidate their knowledge before this important exam.

Increase the number of review sessions and class hours.

With the goal of maintaining a high high school graduation rate compared to previous years and improving the overall score distribution, Nguyen Thai Hoc High School (Dien Tho commune) has proactively implemented a review plan for 12th-grade students early on, especially focusing on the period after the end of the second semester exams. The review sessions closely combine teaching new knowledge with systematizing and consolidating old knowledge to ensure students both complete the curriculum and practice their test-taking skills according to the exam format.

According to Mr. Nguyen Phat, Principal of Nguyen Thai Hoc High School, in mid-May, the school divided classes according to the subjects students chose and began reviewing them. The number of review sessions was increased by 1-2 hours per subject to reinforce knowledge and practice different types of exam questions. Nguyen Ngoc Khanh Huyen (class 12C5), who chose English and Physics as her two elective subjects, planned a suitable schedule for reviewing at home and at school, especially allocating time evenly across all four subjects and increasing her review time for English. Using the exam question bank from the previous year's 12th grade, Khanh Huyen further honed her exam-taking skills and time management; she also participated in mock exams to gain more opportunities to practice and assess her abilities.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tuong, Deputy Principal of Pi Nang Tac Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School (Bac Ai Dong commune), the school has organized review sessions in the evenings, with teachers guiding students; at the same time, teachers combine online review sessions, sending exercises to groups for students to self-study. Meanwhile, Tran Hung Dao High School (Cam Linh ward) is intensifying review sessions for the four graduation exam subjects, with two lessons per week for each subject. The school will continue exam preparation until June 6th.

Currently, schools organizing review sessions for 12th-grade students are in the "final stretch" with activities such as: practicing exam questions based on the official exam structure issued by the Ministry of Education and Training ; summarizing and systematizing all knowledge... Schools strive to complete the review sessions one week before the exam to help students stabilize their mindset before the exam.

Improve your skills through mock exams.

To help students accurately assess their current abilities, familiarize themselves with exam pressure, exam structure, and actual time constraints, the Department of Education and Training has directed high schools to organize at least two mock graduation exams, comparing results to evaluate students' progress. The mock exams must be substantive, from the operation and question setting to the assessment, to provide a basis for guiding students' revision. Through these mock exams, schools can learn from the process of organizing exams according to the new regulations, especially the arrangement of exam rooms and invigilation for elective subjects, in order to identify and prevent potential risks.

Mr. Truong Minh Trinh, Principal of Ly Tu Trong High School (Nha Trang Ward), said that the school recently organized a second mock exam for over 600 12th-grade students. The mock exam was conducted similarly to the national high school graduation exam, with four subjects, strict time limits, invigilator arrangements, and procedures. After the mock exam, the school promptly graded the exams and announced the results to the students. From there, homeroom teachers and subject teachers analyzed the mistakes and areas of knowledge gaps so that students could learn from their mistakes, consolidate their knowledge, and review more effectively.

To ensure students' knowledge is fully grasped, the Department of Education and Training has directed schools to guide students in mastering the structure and format of the exam, and how to answer each type of question (the Literature exam is essay-based, while the remaining subjects are multiple-choice); and to familiarize themselves with the new exam structure in the sample question bank… With just over two weeks until the 2026 high school graduation exam officially takes place, this is a crucial period for students to accelerate their review, consolidate their knowledge, and practice their test-taking skills. With the support of schools, teachers, and the proactive efforts of students, it is expected that they will enter the exam with confidence and achieve the highest possible results.

The province has 53 high schools, including schools with high school levels. For the 2026 high school graduation exam, Khanh Hoa province has over 22,000 students registered to take the exam. Of these, more than 18,300 are students in the regular high school program, 2,730 are students in the continuing education program, and approximately 1,000 are independent candidates.
