Sales of the Mercedes-Benz EQB in the US market fell sharply, up to 36%, last year, to 8,885 units. This small electric SUV even sold less than its brother Mercedes-Benz EQE (11,660 units).

So it's no surprise that Mercedes-Benz has decided to discontinue the EQB after 2025. A company spokesperson confirmed the news to InsideEVs: " The EQB has completed its planned life cycle and will no longer be sold in the US or Canada after 2025. "
Despite stopping sales of the EQB, the three-pointed star brand affirmed that it is still " strongly committed to its electrification strategy " and is preparing for " the biggest product launch in the company's history ".

Mercedes-Benz representatives also revealed that two all-new SUVs based on the next-generation platform will be launched soon. These two models are almost certainly the next-generation Mercedes-Benz GLA and GLB, which have been caught testing on the street recently. Both models will share the platform with the new Mercedes-Benz CLA, expected to launch in the US market later this year.

In Vietnam, Mercedes-Benz EQB is currently being officially distributed and has just had an upgraded version in September 2025. In the new version, Mercedes-Benz EQB for Vietnam has been slightly upgraded in terms of design and equipment.
Mercedes-Benz EQB sold in our country has only 1 version, EQB 250+. The car uses 1 electric motor located on the front axle, generating a maximum capacity of 190 horsepower and a maximum torque of 385 Nm. Thanks to aerodynamic adjustments and the use of tires with extremely low rolling resistance, the car's travel distance can reach 468 - 537 km according to WLTP standards.

Other notable additions include the Active Brake Assist system and the Blind Spot Warning system. The starting price of the car has also increased by 20 million to 2.309 billion VND.
