Messi and his family are on summer vacation in the Caribbean. He, along with his wife Antonela and three sons, arrived at Miami airport early on July 12th, while Inter Miami fans gathered outside the DRV PNK stadium to celebrate the Argentine superstar's upcoming debut with the team.

According to Mail Sport , Messi is preparing to finalize the last procedures to sign a two-and-a-half-year contract with Inter Miami, with an option to play one more season for the club co-owned and chaired by football legend David Beckham.
Billionaire Jorge Mas, who co-owns Inter Miami with David Beckham, also stated that Messi would earn between $50 million and $60 million annually, with contributions from Adidas through Inter Miami jersey sales and Apple TV, the company that owns the MLS television rights.
After finalizing the contract, Messi will have his presentation ceremony this weekend (July 16) and is expected to play his first match on July 21 in Inter Miami's League Cup game against Cruz Azul.
Messi's unveiling event also featured performances by artists Bad Bunny, Shakira, and Maluma. The MLS organizers are also arranging with FOX and Univision to broadcast a portion of Messi's unveiling during halftime of the 2023 Gold Cup final, which is taking place on the same day.
Messi's debut for Inter Miami is causing a sensation in the United States.
In an interview with ESPN Argentina just before his trip to the US, Messi said: "My mentality and spirit will not change, and I will try, wherever I am, to do my best for myself and my new club, and continue to perform at the highest level."
Speaking about his family's move to the US and their new life, Messi said: "We are happy with our decision. We are ready and eager to face new challenges and new changes."
Alongside Messi, Inter Miami also unveiled midfielder Sergio Busquets and may soon add defender Jordi Alba. These three former Barcelona stars are expected to help Inter Miami improve their position in the 2023 MLS Eastern Conference standings. Inter Miami is also currently in negotiations to sign veteran center-back Sergio Ramos, who is a free agent after leaving PSG.
