Lionel Messi had a hand in all four goals in Inter Miami's dominant win over Cincinnati in the MLS Eastern Conference semi-finals, scoring once and providing three classy assists. This also brought Messi's total to 1,300 goals (896 goals, 404 assists).
Immediately after the opening whistle, Inter Miami quickly created dangerous situations. In the 19th minute, Messi opened the score with a header after a quick combination with Jordi Alba and Silvetti. Before that, Miami also had a chance but Silvetti headed wide.
Conceding a goal, Cincinnati tried to respond with good ball control, but the final situations lacked precision.

In the second half, Inter Miami's attack really exploded with Messi at the center of every ball. In the 57th minute, from a throw-in, Messi cleverly created a pass for Silvetti to finish, raising the score to 2-0. Just a few minutes later, the Argentine number 10 continued to show his class when he led the counter-attack and then delicately passed the ball for Allende to score the third goal.
Before the end of the match, Messi completed his hat-trick of assists with a spectacular pass from midfield, tearing apart the Cincinnati defense. Allende ran down and finished decisively, sealing a 4-0 victory for Inter Miami in the 74th minute.
Cincinnati had a chance to cut the deficit later on, but Noah Allen saved it in time. Despite pressing and holding the ball more at times, the home team was still helpless against Messi and his teammates' ability to control the game from midfield.

This convincing victory helps Miami open the door to the Eastern Conference final, in which Messi continues to prove his role as the soul of the team.
Inter Miami will be the winner of today's match between Philadelphia Union and New York City FC.
