At approximately 4:50 PM, a fire suddenly broke out inside a scrap metal warehouse spanning hundreds of square meters, located next to National Highway 1. Due to the presence of many flammable materials and strong winds, the fire quickly intensified and spread rapidly.
At the scene, a column of black smoke rose dozens of meters high, engulfing the entire area. In a short time, much property and a large amount of scrap metal inside the warehouse were destroyed by the fire.
The fire then spread to a neighboring motorcycle repair shop, causing the area behind the establishment to catch fire. Many residents in the surrounding area had to urgently move their belongings to a safe place to avoid damage.

Local residents used water and makeshift firefighting tools to try and put out the fire, but their efforts were unsuccessful due to the intensity of the blaze, the high heat, and the thick black smoke.
More than 10 minutes after receiving the report, the Fire and Rescue Police force of Tay Ninh province dispatched 2 specialized fire trucks and more than 10 officers and soldiers to the scene.
Forces deployed multiple water cannons to prevent the fire from spreading to residential areas and nearby buildings, while simultaneously approaching the main fire zone to control the flames.
According to local authorities, the scrap yard was rented by a woman from another area to collect and store scrap materials. Inside, the yard contained a large quantity of old goods, items, and flammable materials.
By evening, authorities were still processing the scene. The cause of the fire and the value of property damage are being assessed and clarified by the authorities.
