Superstar Lionel Messi said he and Ronaldo are not friends. However, they always respect each other.
Messi said in an interview with Dsports after Inter Miami beat Porto: "I have a lot of respect and admiration for Ronaldo, as well as the career he is having.
At 40, Ronaldo is still competing at the highest level. In fact, my competition with Ronaldo only takes place on the pitch.
What we want is to bring the best to our team."
"Off the pitch, Ronaldo and I are just two normal people. We are not friends because we have never spent time together alone. But we treat each other with the utmost respect," Messi added.
