The Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center (Center) has just issued a decision approving the train schedule for the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien urban railway line No. 1. The metro line No. 1 is operated by the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Company No. 1.
Specifically, from Monday to Friday, Metro Line 1 operates from 5:00 to 22:00. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, Metro Line 1 operates from 5:00 to 23:00.
Train intervals are 6-7-8 minutes during rush hours, and 10-12 minutes/trip during other times.
Metro Line 1 is nearly 19km long, running from Ben Thanh Station to Suoi Tien Bus Station and vice versa, through 14 stations. Each train is 61.9m long, consists of 3 cars, and can accommodate up to 930 people (including 147 seats and 783 standing places).

Accordingly, the running schedule of metro line 1 from August 16 to August 29: 11 trains used in 1 day, each train has 3 cars, 226 trains/day from Monday to Friday, 230 trains/day on Saturday and Sunday.
The peak service period for the National Day holiday on September 2nd is expected to last for 4 days, from August 30th to September 2nd. From August 30th to August 31st, metro line 1 will increase to 251 trains/day.
On September 1st alone, metro line 1 will run 264 trains/day; on September 2nd, there will be 12 trains with 264 trains/day. Metro line 1 will increase the number of trains and trips per day, and run until 11pm, with a time interval of 6-7-10-12 minutes/trip to meet the travel needs of passengers during the holiday.
From September 3 to December 23 and December 25 to December 30, Metro Line 1 runs 243 trains/day from Monday to Friday, 246 trains/day on Saturday and Sunday. On Christmas Day and the last day of the year, December 31, Metro Line 1 runs 264 trains/day.
Previously, the frequency of metro line 1 trains from Monday to Friday during rush hour would be about 7 - 12 minutes. On weekends, the interval between trains would be 8 - 12 minutes.
