The launch of two publications on dermatology is considered an important milestone affirming the continuous efforts of the Department of Dermatology - Dermatology in connecting research, training and clinical practice, contributing to improving the quality of dermatology in Vietnam.

Procedures and Surgery in Dermatology was born after nearly two years of hard work by the implementation team.
The book has 744 color printed pages, illustrated with a system of intuitive clinical images, bringing together the participation and contributions of 32 teachers and colleagues from many different fields such as dermatology, cosmetic surgery, anatomy, otolaryngology, oncology, orthopedics, surgery and nursing.
The book provides readers with a comprehensive system of procedures and surgeries, from basic techniques such as skin biopsy, keloid treatment, incision, skin suture, to advanced techniques such as skin grafting, hair transplantation, Mohs surgery or autologous fat grafting.
Not only stopping at technical operations, the book also emphasizes safety principles, patient counseling and individualized treatment, which are decisive factors for the effectiveness of clinical practice.
The publication Autoimmune Bullous Dermatitis is the result of more than four years of careful compilation, bringing together 11 authors from the fields of dermatology, pathology and nursing. The book is 296 pages thick, printed in color, focusing on the exploitation of rare diseases with serious prognosis such as pemphigus, bullous pemphigoid, dermatitis herpetiformis or linear IgA disease.
The book covers pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnostic criteria, and updated treatment regimens, while introducing new advances in drug research and patient management. This is a comprehensive monograph that is not only useful for specialists but also inspires the passion for learning and research for medical students.
Associate Professor, Doctor, Doctor Le Thai Van Thanh, Head of Dermatology and Cosmetic Dermatology Department, University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City is the editor-in-chief of both books.
Sharing about her and her colleagues’ achievements, she said: “We want to bring to colleagues and students a standard source of documents that is both updated and practical. These two publications will be a companion for doctors and medical students in their learning and practice, and at the same time demonstrate the spirit of interdisciplinary cooperation, towards the common goal: improving the quality of care and bringing Vietnamese Dermatology closer to international standards.”
