The "Adopted Child of the Youth Union" model spreads the spirit of compassion.

In January 2026, the Youth Union of Hiep Hoa commune launched the "Adopted Child of the Youth Union" model to support children in extremely difficult circumstances in the area, such as orphans, those lacking relatives, or families facing economic hardship. This aims to motivate them to excel in their studies and lives, nurture their dreams, and strive for a better future.

The Youth Union of Hiep Hoa commune presented gifts and provided sponsorship support to Nguyen Huu Tri, from Bai Thuong village.

This is a new model for the local Youth Union organization, initially creating a positive effect and receiving the support and participation of a large number of Youth Union members, young people, and the general public.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Huong, Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and Secretary of the Youth Union of the commune, said: To identify the right people in need of support, the Youth Union of the commune assesses the specific circumstances of the children in each village and hamlet. They actively connect with philanthropists and benefactors to mobilize resources for support. Depending on the circumstances, the amount of cash support ranges from 300,000 VND to 1,300,000 VND per child per month, with a sponsorship period of one year; they also donate wheelchairs, clothing, medicine, and daily necessities...

After 3 months of implementation, the model has supported 5 cases. A typical example is D.AN (born in 2019) from Tan Son village. She is disabled, suffering from chronic kidney failure requiring dialysis, and heart failure. Given her circumstances, the Youth Union of the commune provided support totaling 17 million VND (including cash, a wheelchair, and essential supplies); and sponsored her for one year at a rate of 1.3 million VND per month.

In the case of Nguyen Huu Tri (born in 2011), from Bai Thuong village, who is an orphan whose mother passed away and whose family is in difficult circumstances, the Youth Union of the commune provided him with cash, essential supplies, a study desk, and sponsored him for one year at a rate of 300,000 VND/month, creating conditions for him to continue his studies.

The "Young Children of the Youth Union" model not only provides material support but also demonstrates the pioneering role and responsibility of the youth of Hiep Hoa in community activities. Through this, it contributes to spreading the spirit of "mutual support and compassion," promoting the national tradition of "helping those in need," and strengthening the people's trust in the Youth Union at the grassroots level.
