For many years, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Binh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and Head of the Front Committee of Hung Hoa hamlet (Vinh Huu commune, Dong Thap province), has been a model in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings. He was recently honored with a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial Party Standing Committee for outstanding performance of duties for five consecutive years (2021-2025). This prestigious award is a well-deserved recognition for a Party member who is always wholeheartedly dedicated to the Party's work, "matching words with actions," and devoted to serving the people.

Hung Hoa hamlet is a relatively large area with over 2,600 inhabitants, so there is considerable pressure in terms of management, ensuring security and order, and building a cultural life.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Binh instructed residents of Hung Hoa hamlet on using smartphones to pay social insurance and health insurance premiums, and to make cashless payments.

Aware of his role, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Binh always chose an approach that was close and intimate with the lives of the people.

Whenever the locality implements a new policy or has unexpected tasks, the familiar figure of Comrade Binh can be seen visiting each household to chat and provide analysis.

For those who were hesitant or unclear, Comrade Binh was never hasty, always patient, choosing his words carefully to encourage and explain thoroughly in order to create the highest level of consensus among the people.

His democratic working style, always involving thorough consultation with the collective and the people, helped him to promptly resolve many difficulties and conflicts, maintaining peace and unity within the community.

That perseverance bore fruit when the new rural development movement was warmly embraced by the people. Just since 2024, using his personal influence, Comrade Binh has mobilized the people in the hamlet, as well as those who have moved away from home, to contribute over 100 million VND to illuminate rural roads, pave the transportation system with concrete, and plant flowers and trees to create a clean and beautiful landscape.

The comrade's practical actions not only contributed to caring for the poor and ensuring social security, but also helped the Party committee and government to promptly listen to and adequately address the concerns and aspirations of the people.

In recognition of those silent contributions, for many years, Comrade Binh has been awarded Certificates of Commendation by the Party Committee, the People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune for outstanding performance in his duties, contributing to the Hung Hoa hamlet Party branch achieving the title of "Outstanding Performance" for many consecutive years.

Furthermore, Comrade Binh is also a member of the community's Digital Technology Team in the hamlet, actively guiding people to access smartphones, familiarize themselves with cashless payments, and independently carry out administrative procedures at home, spreading the "Digital Literacy Movement" widely.

Sharing his experience in his work, Comrade Binh confided: "To gain the trust and support of the people, first and foremost, cadres must be pioneers and role models. We must know how to listen to the people, explain things in a way they can easily understand, and demonstrate actions that they can see and believe in."

Only in this way can we unite the masses, build solidarity from the grassroots level, and promptly advise superiors on resolving the legitimate aspirations of the people.”

Not only is Comrade Nguyen Thanh Binh skilled in mobilizing the masses, but he is also a reliable support for the Party committee and the government in important political events in the locality.

For example, during the recent elections for National Assembly and People's Council representatives at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, Comrade Binh, along with the Party branch and the hamlet's leadership, closely monitored each area, meticulously reviewed the voter list; and at the same time, organized extensive propaganda to ensure that all citizens understood their rights and obligations, making a significant contribution to the success of the National Election Day.

Comrade Binh's dedication was also evident in his efforts to maintain security and order and fulfill his military obligations in the local area.

Every year, Comrade Binh always keeps a close watch on the number of young people of military age, coordinating closely with the commune's Military Service Council to disseminate information, visit, and promptly encourage families whose children are preparing to enlist.

Thanks to those warm feelings and a sense of responsibility, Hung Hoa hamlet has always excellently fulfilled its military recruitment targets with the strong support of its people.

Comrade Binh's simple yet practical actions have spread the spirit of learning from and following Uncle Ho's example to every household, helping to improve the economic lives of the people. Everyone is enthusiastic about doing business, thereby reducing the number of poor households in the entire hamlet to only 4, and the number of near-poor households to 7.
