Summer is just around the corner, and this is also the time when Quang Nam officially launches its tourism stimulus package themed "summer emotions," running from May to August.
Seeking unique experiences to "cool off" during the hot season is a top priority for tourists. Understanding this, the "Summer Emotions" program will guide visitors to immerse themselves in the beautiful nature of Quang Nam with a variety of activities from the mountains to the sea.
On April 16th, the Provincial People's Committee announced the tourism stimulus program "Quang Nam - Green Land of Heritage". The program will run from May to November 2024 with a total incentive value of approximately 9.5 billion VND.
Many new destinations in various tourism categories such as beach and island tourism, lake and river tourism, and mountain and forest tourism, such as Cua Khe beach, O O waterfall, Tra Doa waterfall, etc., will be added to the Quang Nam exploration itinerary. In addition, camping tourism associated with the sea and Bo Bo pine forest also promises to be a novel experience for tourists.
Mr. Tran Nhat Son, representative of Hoi An Express Service and Tourism Co., Ltd., informed that the promotional packages for independent travel will have flexible departure dates with prices starting from only 1,270,000 VND/person for 3 days including airport transfer; and a 3-4 day resort and golf package with a promotional price starting from only 4,250,000 VND/person... Tourists experiencing these packages under the Quang Nam tourism stimulus program will all stay at 4-5 star hotels.
"For a one-day summer camp program, the price starts from 900,000 VND per person, departing every Friday in June and July. For 3-7 day summer camps, the departure dates are flexible, with a price of nearly 3 million VND per person," Mr. Son said.
According to Mr. Tran Quy Tan, Head of the Tourism Management Department of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, 43 businesses are participating in the deep stimulus program (offering discounts of 30% or more) and more than 50 units are participating in the general program, spread across various types of tourism, so tourists will have many opportunities to experience Quang Nam at preferential prices this year.
Waiting for the "golden season of Quang Nam"
The period from September to November is the low season for tourism in Quang Nam. Therefore, at the end of this year, Quang Nam will launch the "Golden Season of Quang Nam" tourism stimulus program - promising many impressive experiences. While the "Summer Emotions" program focuses on exploring nature, the "Golden Season of Quang Nam" is expected to further define cultural tourism experiences connected with the rhythm of life in Quang Nam during the rainy season.
The "feast" of the "golden season of Quang Nam" has been outlined with products such as: "Mossy ancient town", "Hoi An during the flood season", "New Rice Festival", "Taste of the countryside", "Golden season covering the green"...
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ha, Deputy Chairman of the Quang Nam Destination Club for Preserving Local Values (Quang Nam Tourism Association), said: “The club will build a connecting platform where tourists can create their own tour itineraries. When tourists express their needs, the platform will suggest tours, and each destination along the itinerary will be provided with complete information.”
According to him, this platform will also prioritize displaying providers with good promotional policies. From there, tourists will be able to decide on the most suitable tour package for themselves from various providers. In some cases of force majeure, especially due to weather, providers commit to refunding, canceling, or flexibly changing tickets and free services for tourists.
The Quang Nam Destination Club, dedicated to preserving local values, will also organize an online photo contest as part of the "Golden Season of Quang Nam" program. The contest aims to promote and spread beautiful images of Quang Nam through the real-life experiences of tourists on their journeys.
This plan is the first step in realizing tourists' expectations for experiencing Quang Nam tourism during the rainy season. At the same time, it aims to increase the number of visitors to Quang Nam during the off-peak tourist season, as anticipated by the local authorities.
Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, said: “The stimulus program has successfully conveyed a very attractive image of Quang Nam from a tourism perspective. The key to stimulating demand is to prioritize the tourist experience, finding ways to increase the value of product packages rather than just focusing on price reductions. This will both increase the number of tourists visiting Quang Nam and ensure their satisfaction during their experience.”
