At the end of the 2023 university entrance exam fee payment period, MoMo was the most trusted payment channel chosen by many candidates and parents, accounting for over 48% of transactions, equivalent to 297,450 transactions.
| This is the second consecutive year that MoMo has led among the official online payment channels of the National Public Service Portal. |
As a platform contributing to the digitalization of university admission fee payments, MoMo has helped many parents and candidates have a more convenient experience participating in this year's admissions process.
Specifically, scanning the QR code using MoMo has helped applicants save time and avoid errors because they don't need to manually enter account numbers, verification codes, or OTP codes like with some other channels. This method also allows candidates to have relatives pay the fees on their behalf conveniently and quickly.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, at the end of the first round of university admissions registration in 2023, on July 30, 2023, the total number of candidates applying for university admission was over 660,000, equivalent to 66% of the number of candidates registering for the high school graduation exam, an increase compared to last year (last year was 64%). In proportion to the number of university applicants this year, the proportion of fee payments made via MoMo also increased compared to last year, with 125,450 transactions.
Besides being a payment channel for university entrance exam fees, MoMo currently provides a wide range of online tuition fee payment services at all levels, from preschool, primary, secondary, and high school to continuing education centers and universities. To date, MoMo has successfully implemented tuition fee payments at nearly 4,260 schools, including major partners such as Jetpay (approximately 3,000 schools); SSC (approximately 1,100 schools); Yschool (100 schools) and several other universities nationwide.
