In 2019, Xana, Luis Enrique's daughter, passed away from cancer at the young age of 9.
Luis Enrique once said: “My daughter came to live with us for nine wonderful years. We have thousands of memories of her. You can ask me if I consider myself lucky or unlucky. I consider myself lucky. Very lucky.”
A deeply moving image of a father always thinking of his daughter, an image that lives on in his mind even though she is gone.
Ahead of the 2025 Champions League final, he also recalled the memory from exactly 10 years ago, when he and Barcelona defeated Juventus in the Champions League final.

"Xana and I have a photo together of us planting the Barcelona flag in the grass. It was a beautiful moment. Physically, my daughter isn't here, but she's always watching over me and supporting me mentally," coach Enrique shared.

Early this morning (June 1st), International Children's Day, PSG thrashed Inter 5-0 and won the 2024/25 Champions League title. This concludes a fantastic season for Enrique at PSG.
In the last three years, Inter reached the Champions League final twice, but failed to score a single goal. From a position where they had a chance to repeat the treble after 15 years, Inter lost everything in just one month, ending the season empty-handed. It was incredibly painful for Inter.
