A patient was run over by a pickup truck in the hospital grounds.

On the morning of June 17, a clip appeared on social media recording the scene of a pickup truck suddenly reversing and running over a pedestrian on the sidewalk at Ha Dong General Hospital (Quang Trung Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi).

In the clip, a pickup truck with a Hanoi license plate was turning around when the driver opened the driver's door and leaned over to look behind when the car suddenly reversed quickly. At that time, a woman was walking on the sidewalk behind the car. Although she knew the signal that the car was reversing, she was unable to avoid it in time.

The strong collision caused the woman to be run over and lie motionless under the car. Many people walking in the hospital grounds discovered the incident and came to the victim's rescue.

According to the leader of Ha Dong General Hospital, the incident occurred inside the hospital grounds on the afternoon of June 16. The unit immediately took the victim for a health check and made a record of the incident. The female victim was examined by the hospital, had an X-ray, a CT scan... the victim only had pain in her thigh, no injuries. Also according to the leader of Ha Dong General Hospital, the female victim was a patient being treated at the hospital, and the driver was a relative coming to pick up a relative.

Quang Trung Ward Police (Hanoi City Police) confirmed that the incident occurred at Ha Dong General Hospital. According to the commander of Quang Trung Ward Police, the car did not run over the victim. The car driver and the victim have reached a reconciliation.
