- Ms. Vuong Thi Thuong (born in 1989), village 5, Na Sam commune, Lang Son province, is honored to be the only farmer in the province to be awarded the title "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer" in 2025.
According to Decision No. 2006-QD/HNDTW dated September 11, 2025 of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union , the Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union signed a decision to award the title of "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer" in 2025 to 63 outstanding farmers across the country. Ms. Vuong Thi Thuong, a farmer member of Na Sam commune, Lang Son province, was honored to receive this title.
With agility and daring, in April 2023, Ms. Vuong Thi Thuong established the Toan Thuong Agricultural Cooperative. The Cooperative has linked and purchased products for hundreds of households growing Vanh Khuyen roses in the commune, ensuring stable output with prices equal to or higher than the market.
Ms. Thuong has worked hard to research and successfully produce the wind-dried Vanh Khuyen persimmon product. In addition, currently, the Cooperative of which she is the director also researches and produces a variety of products from the local specialty persimmons such as: dried Vanh Khuyen persimmon, persimmon tea, persimmon vinegar, persimmon wine and many other local agricultural products such as dried Loc Binh sweet potatoes, dried mac mat... From purchasing and processing agricultural products, the Cooperative achieves a revenue of 5 billion VND each year, bringing in a profit of 2.2 billion VND/year. Every year, the Cooperative also creates stable jobs for many local workers.
With her persistent efforts, Ms. Thuong has won many awards such as: First prize in the "Lang Son Province Innovation and Startup" contest in 2022; First prize in the "Women's Startup to Promote Indigenous Talents" contest at the regional and national levels in 2023...; she was also honored to receive many certificates of merit and awards of various kinds. The Cooperative's wind-dried Vanh Khuyen persimmon product has also been recognized as meeting the 3-star OCOP standard.
2025 is the 13th year that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union has hosted a series of events called the Vietnam Farmers' Pride Program, in which the key activity is to vote for and honor outstanding Vietnamese Farmers in 2025. This is an annual activity of profound political significance, a prominent event in the series of activities to celebrate the founding day of the Vietnam Farmers' Union. |
