The last article in the book was published in issue 526 of Nhan Dan newspaper, published on June 1, 1969. The first article was written in 1951 and the last in 1969 when he was about to pass away.
Time and years pass without stopping, a flow of current events, ideology, politics , morality, and culture has left an immortal mark in the articles in Nhan Dan Newspaper by President Ho Chi Minh.
It is truly admirable and surprising that he was busy with hundreds of important tasks leading the country in politics, military , diplomacy, economy, and society, but he spent time leading on the ideological, moral, and information fronts through cultural articles, directly contributing to improving the spiritual life, from the cultural level of the people to the level of civilization and culture. The articles were based on a deep understanding of social reality, current events, and knowledge of culture and ideology at home and abroad.
First, he affirmed the qualities of a Labor Party member, who is essentially a Communist Party member. Party character is the leading factor in the qualities that a Party member demonstrates in the spirit of sacrificing personal interests for the Party's mission, having a high sense of responsibility, enthusiastically being present and volunteering for assigned tasks.
He promoted the power of the people, the will of the people is the will of heaven that decides all great affairs of the people.
People praised our great National Assembly, held in January 1946, a National Assembly of all the people, the people participated in electing the country's leaders.
He emphasized "Revolutionary ethics is the top quality of every party member and cadre with the spirit of diligence, integrity, impartiality and selflessness".
Under the leadership of the Party, the power of the entire people to master their own destiny is mobilized, each person possesses revolutionary qualities, heroic qualities. He asked the question "Who is a hero?" and suggested an answer. He stated:
"At the age of 16, he was already a national emulation fighter.
No degree, still great achievement
Mine-making hero and mine-destroying hero
"Hero of learning".
That hero was Tran Dai Nghia in the military industry, a patriotic intellectual who returned from abroad to join the nation's fight against foreign invaders. He was fortunate to meet Uncle Ho and he said: Our country lacks machinery, raw materials, and skilled workers. However, we are rich in forests and mountains, and rich in determination. So you must apply what you have learned abroad to the practical circumstances of our country, to serve the Fatherland... Engineer Tran Dai Nghia replied: "Yes, sir."
The article against individualism and status disease is a very sincere and profound self-criticism article about the struggle for position in the Party organization.
In his writings, Uncle Ho repeatedly mentioned the important task of self-criticism and criticism. He frankly commented on mistakes with a frank spirit mixed with a bit of sarcasm... He especially loved children, which was shown through his letters on the Mid-Autumn Festival and Children's Day, such as the poem Respecting the Elderly and especially Men and Women Equal Rights...
To build and develop life, a particularly important task is to fight corruption and waste. In the article No Loophole, Uncle Ho stated that we must avoid all loopholes in finance and economics to avoid public property being stolen.
Looking at the 300 articles of Uncle Ho in Nhan Dan Newspaper (selected for publication), this is a living encyclopedia with ideas to determine the direction, with practical basis to trust and dream, with knowledge to expand understanding. Thank you to the Editorial Board of Nhan Dan Newspaper for preserving and cherishing and the National Political Publishing House Truth for giving precious gifts to readers today and tomorrow.
