The Vietnam Fatherland Front affirms its role and position in building national unity.

On the morning of December 19th, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province held its second conference for the 2025-2030 term to review the work of 2025 and implement key tasks for 2026. Comrade Dinh Quang Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province, presided over the conference.

In 2025, the global and domestic situations will still present many difficulties and challenges, especially the implementation of the two-tiered local government model and the reorganization of administrative units. This is a key task, placing high demands on the role and operational methods of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels.

The Fatherland Front at all levels continues to play a central role in uniting and gathering all strata of the people; mobilizing the people to effectively participate in patriotic emulation movements and major campaigns; and actively participating in building a clean and strong Party, government, and political system.

The movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses has been implemented decisively and synchronously throughout the province with outstanding results, completing 6,953 houses, reaching 107% of the plan; eliminating temporary housing for 371 out of 371 households of people with meritorious services before July 27, 2025. This clearly affirms the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in mobilizing, managing, and allocating social resources.

Alongside this, social welfare work has been given significant attention by the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels. The "For the Poor" Fund mobilized and utilized over 33 billion VND, providing nearly 17,000 gift packages worth nearly 26 billion VND in total. Disaster relief efforts have contributed to helping people alleviate difficulties and restore production. The Fatherland Front Committees at all levels received over 339 billion VND, of which over 212 billion VND has been allocated for support; and received and distributed 414 tons of goods worth over 22 billion VND.

The entire province maintains over 2,000 effective self-governing models; 100% of residential areas have cultural and sports clubs, teams, and groups, contributing to improving the spiritual life and strengthening national unity.

The discussions and presentations at the Conference clarified the achievements, pointed out some shortcomings and limitations, and agreed on the key directions and tasks for 2026. Accordingly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province will focus on implementing the resolutions of the Party Congress at all levels; coordinating the successful organization of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; reviewing and reorganizing the internal organizational structure under the Fatherland Front, political and social organizations, and mass associations at all levels; and improving the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism...

Speaking at the conference, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee assessed that the overall achievements of Thai Nguyen in 2025 were due to the contributions of the Fatherland Front at all levels in gathering and promoting the strength of national unity. Outstanding achievements include the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, mobilizing and receiving resources to support disaster relief efforts, and uniting to build the homeland.

Emphasizing the goals that Thai Nguyen province strives to achieve in 2026, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee requested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels continue to promote their role in gathering, uniting, and multiplying the strength of the entire society.
