Closely follow people's work

During the past term, the Fatherland Front and its member organizations in Hai Duong focused on propagating and mobilizing people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws. Actively participating in patriotic emulation movements, campaigns, especially the new rural construction movement, carrying out site clearance to implement key local works and projects and reaching consensus in merging commune-level administrative units. Implementing the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", the Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations mobilized people to contribute more than 5,461 billion VND and 987,000 working days, donating 9,000 hectares of land to build infrastructure to implement new rural areas.

During the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term, the Standing Committees of the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels proactively advised and organized the consultation process well. The whole province organized 1,059 meetings to meet voters with candidates, with 3,638 opinions contributed. The new point in this election term is that 100% of the Fatherland Fronts at the commune level organized informal meetings in villages and residential areas to help voters have more information to learn and choose candidates to elect deputies to the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, ensuring the right structure and sufficient numbers.

The work of "repaying gratitude" is coordinated by the Fatherland Front at all levels with relevant sectors to organize many meaningful activities. Every year, on the occasion of holidays, Tet..., Party committees, authorities, and the Fatherland Front organize visits and give gifts to policy families; mobilize agencies and units to support all Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the province.

Accompanying the poor

Support for the poor is maintained regularly and effectively by the Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations through many practical activities. From 2019 to 2023, the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels has mobilized 65.1 billion VND. From this fund, together with the support of businesses, nearly 90 billion VND has been provided to build 975 houses, repair 100 "great solidarity" houses, give more than 130,200 gifts, and support more than 19,000 people for medical treatment and disadvantaged students.

Member organizations have also actively implemented many activities to support members, union members, and people in difficult circumstances in the province. The Women's Union at all levels of Hai Duong province has sponsored and connected to sponsor 1,301 orphans and children in difficult circumstances; built and maintained 2,825 savings groups. Thanks to that, the union at all levels has donated 38,770 kg of rice, nearly 2,000 gifts worth nearly 700 million VND to members in difficulty, helping 874 poor women borrow capital to develop their economy.

Over the past 5 years, through the movement "Farmers compete in production, good business, unite to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty", Farmers' Associations at all levels in Hai Duong have mobilized resources to help 6,820 households escape poverty, donated more than 20,000 gifts, 83 wheelchairs, and built and repaired 40 "warm farmer's homes" with a total value of billions of VND.

Responding to the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind", the Veterans Association at all levels in the province mobilized cadres, members, philanthropists and businesses to donate nearly 9.8 billion VND to support the construction and repair of 228 comrades' houses.

From 2020 to now, the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province have supported the construction of more than 20 "red scarf" houses and "team members' shelters". These shelters not only have material significance, but also serve as a motivation to help children overcome difficulties and excel in their studies.

The outstanding activity of the Provincial Labor Federation was the successful organization of a group wedding for 7 couples of workers and laborers in difficult circumstances. The couples were exempted from all expenses, received a set of wedding rings and a savings book worth 7 million VND...

With the motto of constantly innovating the content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots and residential areas, the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations have made important contributions to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development tasks and maintaining the socio-political stability of the province.
