From about 2 p.m., the water started to rise and flooded all the roads leading to the neighborhood. Many houses were flooded and damaged by the rising water. In the past few years, this area has been flooded when it rains heavily, and people hope that the government will install high-capacity pumps to drain the water when it rains heavily to avoid flooding.
In Bai Chay ward, many streets were also flooded, making it difficult for parents to pick up their children at rush hour.

According to the Quang Ninh Hydrometeorological Station, on the morning of October 14, rainfall measured from hydrometeorological stations such as Mong Cai 111mm, Quang Ha 65mm, Bai Chay 39mm, Tien Yen 38mm, other places 5-20mm. It is forecasted that from the morning of October 14 to the morning of October 16, the whole province will continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain, some places very heavy rain and thunderstorms. The common rainfall is 70-150mm, some places over 200mm. Moderate rain, heavy rain, some places very heavy rain cause floods, flash floods in high-risk areas; localized flooding in some roads and low-lying residential areas; flooding of culverts across rivers and streams. During thunderstorms, there may be whirlwinds, lightning and strong gusts of wind that can break trees, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure, endangering ships operating at sea and human lives.
Faced with the complicated flood situation, localities in Quang Ninh province have assigned guards to guard the spillway, actively maintained on-duty, cleared drainage culverts, stretched warning ropes and organized guards. At the same time, forces were arranged to support people in moving vehicles out of flooded areas and continue to check the area to grasp the situation.
So far, no human casualties have been recorded. Currently, forces in Quang Ninh province are counting the damage, maintaining 24/7 duty, proactively warning, preparing plans for natural disaster prevention and search and rescue...
