The Hmong people in Thac Day are families who migrated from Bac Ha to live here. Through hard work and perseverance, they transformed the barren land at the foot of Tam Dinh mountain into lush green fields of peanuts and corn. Among them, red peanuts are the most widely grown because this plant is easy to cultivate and suitable for the soil conditions of the Tam Dinh mountain region.
Taking advantage of the sunny weather, the family of Mr. Hau Seo Chu and Ms. Giang Thi Chu harvested their red peanut crop. His family asked many villagers to help with the harvest in exchange for labor.
On weekends, Vang Thi Linh, an 8th-grade student at Son Thuy Secondary School, also goes to the fields to help her family. This year, peanut prices have remained stable at around 18,000 VND/kg. This is the main source of income, helping households make ends meet.
Each harvest season, the red peanut fields not only bring economic value but also create a vibrant picture of labor.
