Even though it's the second working day after the Lunar New Year holiday of 2025, the number of passengers at Tan Son Nhat Airport remains high. It is estimated that around 145,000 passengers will arrive and depart from the airport today.
According to information from the Tan Son Nhat Airport Operations Center, on February 4th (the 7th day of the Lunar New Year), the airport will serve 972 flights. This includes 487 departures (336 domestic and 151 international flights) and 485 arrivals (332 domestic and 153 international flights).

The total number of passengers expected to be served is 145,092. This includes 53,429 departing passengers (28,626 domestic departing passengers, 24,803 international departing passengers); and 91,466 arriving passengers (64,808 domestic arriving passengers, 26,658 international arriving passengers).
As can be seen, even though it's the second working day after the Tet holiday, the number of passengers passing through Tan Son Nhat airport remains very high, with no signs of slowing down.
Previously, on February 3rd (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year), the airport served 968 flights, with 146,470 passengers. Of these, 91,993 were arriving passengers (65,986 domestic and 26,007 international).
On the seventh day of the Lunar New Year, the airport welcomed approximately 145,000 passengers.
This year's Lunar New Year peak season lasts until February 12, 2025 (the 15th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Snake), with the airport expected to serve more than 26,000 flights and over 4 million passengers. On peak days, the airport handles more than 1,000 flights to and from the airport.
From January 23rd, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has been using shuttle buses to transport passengers from Tan Son Nhat Airport to the outside during the peak period of the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday in 2025. The buses are stationed at bays B6 and B20, lane B of the Domestic Terminal; transporting passengers from the airport to the outside via the following route: Departure and pick-up at lane B of the International Terminal - pick-up at bays B6 and B20, lane B of the Domestic Terminal - parking lot on Bach Dang Street - International Terminal.
These buses operate as a free shuttle service for passengers and display bilingual Vietnamese-English information stating: "Free shuttle bus to Hong Ha and Bach Dang streets".
The free shuttle service will be available for 10 days, from January 23rd to January 27th and from February 1st to February 5th. The vehicles will operate 24/7, with frequency depending on the requirements of Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
