The Vietnam Commodity Exchange (MXV) has officially received ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for its information security management system. This is considered a significant step in standardizing operational infrastructure, improving data governance capabilities, and enhancing the security of commodity trading activities in Vietnam.
In the context of rapid digital transformation and increasing demands for data security in the financial and commodity markets, perfecting an information security management system according to international standards is considered a crucial foundation for MXV to enhance transparency, reliability, and international connectivity.
MXV representatives receive ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification.
The certification ceremony was held at MXV headquarters with the participation of representatives from SQC Certification Services Pvt. Ltd - the assessment and certification body; THT Technology Co., Ltd - the implementation consulting unit; and the leadership and relevant departments of MXV.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Anh - General Director of SQC Vietnam, a member of SQC Certification India, said that MXV's achievement of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification is an important milestone in the process of improving governance and information security standards in accordance with international practices.
According to a representative from SQC Vietnam, MXV's certification was granted under the international accreditation system of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF). This demonstrates that MXV's information security management system meets the requirements of international standards for data control and security.
According to Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Anh, MXV's achievement of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification is an important milestone in the process of improving governance standards.
Representatives from the certification body also stated that maintaining the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard requires businesses to regularly review their management systems, update control procedures, and enhance security capabilities to meet increasingly stringent information security requirements.
Speaking at the ceremony, a representative from MXV stated that achieving ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification is not only a milestone in MXV's development strategy but also reflects its commitment to building a modern, transparent, and secure commodity trading system in accordance with international standards.
According to MXV representatives, in the context of strong digital transformation and increasingly high security demands in the financial and commodity markets, information security has become a fundamental element in improving operational quality and strengthening market confidence.
“Before achieving ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for information security, MXV had already gradually implemented and applied many other governance standards to improve its operational system towards professionalism, transparency, and alignment with international best practices. We aim to maintain international standards as part of MXV's overall operational foundation, while continuing to expand our access to and application of new standards to enhance governance capacity, service quality, and international connectivity of the Vietnamese goods market ,” an MXV representative shared.
To achieve ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, MXV collaborated with THT Technology Co., Ltd. to develop and refine an information security management system according to international standards. The implementation process included reviewing and standardizing operational procedures, upgrading the control system, and enhancing data governance capabilities.
Representatives from SQC Certification Services Pvt. Ltd stated that during the 3-year validity period of the certificate, MXV's information security management system will undergo annual surveillance audits to ensure continued compliance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 27001:2022, while maintaining operational efficiency and adaptability to new information security requirements.
With commodity trading activities in Vietnam expanding in scale and international connectivity, the demands on operational infrastructure, data management, and information security are also increasing. MXV's ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification is considered a significant step in professionalizing commodity trading operations, moving towards international market operating standards.
